My mom is a current resident, and the facility is not what is was when she moved ina couple of years ago. They gave regular residents meetings, but the management doesn't seem to want to hear their concerns. In fact, the manager offered to help walk residents through how to give a 5 star rating instead of taking their concerns seriously. 1. Poor meal choices. 2. Meals not cooked well. Have you ever tried to eat undercooked rice? 3. They often run out of food, forcing residents to eat something they don't like, or go hungry. 4. Staff are overworked, and under paid. There are cases of some working a 12 hr shift, going home for 4 hours, then returning for the night shift. They can't hire good nurses because they're not paid well. 5. When residents send their food back due to it not being cooked properly, the wait staff tell them the kitchen won't do anything, that they can't send it back. It's not the wait staff, it's the kitchen. There currently is a sign on the front doors that any further admissions are on hold, until violations have been resolved. The staff are great, but so overworked. I'm greatly disappointed in the care my mother is paying for. Housekeeping is constantly running up and down the floors , instead of being able to clean a group of rooms on the same floor, completely and utterly inefficient use of staff. Again, not the housekeeping staff at fault. It's a complete and utter lack of leadership. And overworking what little staff will work for minimum wage. Leadership is inefficient, lacking in actual leadership. Toxic work environment, leading to poor care and empathy for residents. I appreciate your response. What I would recommend is while attending the residents meetings, actually listen to their concerns. They've been telling you these same concerns, and more, and all they hear is "we'll look into it" and nothing changes. In fact, the residents are often shut down when they continue to bring up the same concerns over and over. The meetings are not a place to blame staff, lack of training. I would expect leadership to take accountability for themselves, treat the staff with respect, and actually listen to the residents. That would promote a healthy work environment, a caring space for the residents.

I placed my mom here over a year ago. She has always been extremely I dependent. Riverview Terrace has been a great fit. Activities help keep her engaged and socializing. She loves the fitness and religous activities. The dining center is set up like a nice restaurant environment. I ate a couple times w my mom and the food was great. The Staff is awesome, top notch, caring compassionate folks. They all focus on making the residents here happy. When mom had a medical event, all the staff from cleaners to the directors were the friendliest and help me solve her immediate problems. I cannot thank them enough. I'm thrilled that we found this independent living facility for mom. I would like to extend my personal thanks to each and every staff member that works hard to make, not just my mom, but every resident here day brighter each day. God Bless!

I'm in here a lot, because our agency has several clients who live here. The lobby and public spaces are always clean and nice. The dining room has longer open hours than most independent living places, which is great for seniors who may be waking up later than they used to. Everything is accessible for people who need a scooter, walker, or wheelchair to get around.
