This place is a bunch of scammers, they hired me to clean their gutters and they promised to send me the money and totally played me outta 500 bucks then they had nerve to call me back again and then have Me clean the gutters again for free. I would never trust this place when it comes to money they seem to have a lot of problems paying people money they owe. I am starting a lawsuit against this business in December and will get my money back. As for anyone trusting this place I would highly advise you to go elsewhere and stay far away from this place!!!

Everyone was very helpful and caring. Letting her know they were there if she needed anything. Everybody seem to know her name from day one and called her by name when around her. The place was always well maintained and clean. Food was always good.

2/13/25 Riverview has had it's challenges, to be sure, but this team has expanded and is AMAZING!! Please disregard these old reviews. Who would put their mom's face on the internet without their consent? Not the person I would take a review or recommendation from. Brand new management team who is PHENOMENAL!!! They are already fixing their lack of reception, the sales team is the MOST welcoming, the activities are so engaging, the food is so yummy and the care staff is so caring. It's brighter, new furniture is CURRENTLY being built. It's a great assisted living to bring your loved one to.

My mom has been a resident at Riverview for approximately 1-3/4 years. She been very happy & comfortable living there! The staff is very friendly and I have comfort in knowing that she is in a safe environment w/ caring staff. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star review is that it would be great to have more staff members on hand at times but I am also very aware that the current employee market is pretty volatile. The newer management is awesome and totally step up to help in areas outside their usual responsibilities because it needs to be done! Mike,John, Brea, etc.. Bravo!

Considering the currant state of our country and the lack of work ethics in the younger people these days, I have found my mom well cared for. If she had complaints, they addressed them immediately, including the "letting go" of some of the staff who were verbally abusive to the residents. My mom came there in June 2023 and they were in the midst of a newer team running the place, and I have to tell you, it wasn't easy but they have turned it around with the staff they have now. It takes time folks to weed through the bad apples to find the good ones. Sometimes, they have to use temporary help and therein lies the most problems of caretakers who to be honest, just want a pay check and don't care about doing the job. They are asked never to come back. The management takes their job seriously and I have always had a listening ear and in spite of what others may say, I have seen that much of the complaints come from those who have dementia, and like my mother, no matter what, will be unhappy. If the staff corrects a problem, they seem to find something else to complain about. I have seen no evidence of physical or verbal abuse from staff. It amazes me how well they handle "difficult" patients. It is always with dignity and grace. I dare say I could not do the job their do day in and day out. It is mentally taxing on myself and I don't have to take care of my mom 24/7, so I can't imagine how those that are taking care of our dear elderly family can handle it. Are they perfect? No, but neither am I. The only bedsores that my mother had were because of her poor nutrition before she got there and being confined to a bed for a lengthy time (she got them while in the hospital, not at Riverview). She is starting to get them else where now but only because she insists on sitting in her wheelchair and sleeping in her recliner. When you are consistently put pressure on a frail person 24/7, they will get pressure sores no matter the fact she has two cushions under her to help relieve the pressure. They cannot make her sleep in her bed, so it's her choice. I don't blame Riverview staff. I have spoken to nurses who work in area hospitals, and from what they have seen, Riverview Village is one of the top places to be. Do your research and check the state website for infractions at assisted living places/nursing homes and Riverview is one with the fewest number that were substantiated. Thank you Riverview for doing your best. You take better care of my mom than I could myself, which is why she is there to begin with.
