The staff are very nice. The techs are very involved, but this is a corporation and you get cookie cutter treatment. No matter what your problem is, you get the same assignments and treatment. As everyone else period. this place is a very welcoming and easy going place to be. But if you need attention for your personal needs or personal counseling, this is not the place Not only that, but the director the guy in charge tried to pull a slime ball. Move when I expressed my concerns, he told me insurance. Might not cover my stay if I leave before. I'm discharged. Then we talked for a few more minutes and he was trying to get me to stay to at least come up with a discharge plan or possibly, switch therapists. And I said, I'm not sure because if the insurance isn't going to cover it if I leave early, I'm just racking up more fees. And he backpedaled, then said oh, I've never not had it covered and to me That was a slime ball. Move trying to scare me into staying. Because insurance wasn't gonna cover it and then told me it's always been covered. And this is the guy that runs the place. So if he acts like that, and he's the captain of the ship, it made me think what is he letting his workers get away with and from there, I just couldn't trust anybody else in the place but it was very nice, welcoming, and everybody was very freindly but clearly like any corparation thier ultimate goal is to make money wether you get the help you need or not

I gave this rating as I spoke to someone from Discovery. This facility on Silverheel should be labeled a residential inpatient facility. I was all excited to learn this was a MH facility. I can see it from my house..Sadly I don't require inpatient treatment and I guess there is no facility for outpatient treatment. It sounded like something Icould benefit from. Also, there are NO signs at the facility stating that's what it is. It's misleading, as it sits on the property of a 55and older apartment complex. It was only upon stopping to see if they had some support meeting info, that I found signs stating the doors were locked and you had to knock 😢

I was at this facility a little over a year ago and it was the WORST experience of my life. My therapist was awful. She gave me a CBT thought log and said "figure it out yourself". Long story short, it opened the flood gates to my childhood trauma and I had to jump from treatment facility to facility for another 5 months. That doesn't even begin to explain how they didn't communicate with my family and treated them as the bad guys and pinned me against them in family sessions. But getting back to my experience, I came at a time where they were supposedly being "audited". So they decided to come up with a ton of useless rules. I had to ASK to go to the bathroom. I am not a child. And we had to document all of our food even though we weren't on the eating disorder unit. It was just insane. I could go on and on. Zero stars if I could.
