We moved my mom there a year ago and she stayed for almost a year. We hired outside person to come in to see about my mom 6 days a week because they didn’t provide adequate care. There was not enough staff. My has advanced Alzheimer’s. They lost her the first week she was there and the police called us because a neighbor found her wandering. The facility didn’t contact us for over an hour after the police contacted to let us know she was missing. So we don’t know how long she was wandering. The staff was very poorly trained. They weren’t administer medicine correctly. She had a fall out of the bed flat on her face during the middle of the night because they let her sleep sitting up on the edge of her bed. They didn’t call me til the following day 10 hours after she fell. I live 19 minutes away! They said the fall wasn’t that bad and sent a picture that showed purple and red bruises and swelling to her face. We rushed her to the hospital for a full evaluation. We were waiting on an opening to move my mom to another location. Quality care with trained people is so difficult to find. Don’t be fooled by the owner. He doesn’t care about the work the parents in his care. It really is a shame. He definitely talks a good talk but we learned the hard way it wasn’t true. We are grateful she is no longer there and feel bad for those that remain. We did get to know them as well. My mom’s roommate passed away a couple months prior to us moving my mom. She suffered there and it was very hard to see because she was bed bound. She had horrible bed sores that needed medical and so much more.
