Rosewood Memory Care

My husband of 55 years is a resident at Rosewood Memory Care and I couldn't be happier. Previously, my husband was in a foster care home, but there was no activity and he was very distrustful of the staff, but the staff at Rosewood is what impresses me the most. They all work so well together in caring for the residents, they provide lots of activities, and care for each resident as if they were their own family.

After discovering that my father had Alzheimer’s I searched all available Memory Care Units in the Portland Metro Area. I saw a lot of truly caring professionals working hard to care for individuals under complex circumstances and often in less than welcoming physical structures. I was losing hope that I would find a place where Dad would be comfortable, safe and respected - then I found Rosewood Memory Care. Dad had a beautiful room that we were able to decorate and make him feel right at home. The team at Rosewood could not have been more respectful, kind and engaging with my father. He truly loved it there. I promised him that a 30 days, that we would do a check in and if he didn’t like it there, I would move him somewhere else or bring him to my home, which was not an ideal set up. At that 30 day point when I asked him if he wanted to move, he said “no I love it here. Everyone is so nice. It’s so quiet and I’m so comfortable and they bring me delicious food and we do fun things“. I don’t think I could’ve asked for anything more and knowing Dad had that experience made everything else we were going through more manageable. I owe a debt of gratitude to the incredible team at Rosewood and would highly recommend their services.

Rosewood is amazing!!! Miriam and her incredible team go above and beyond to take care of their residents. Rosewood is so beautiful and the layout supports those with Alzheimer's in a great way. The staff is so caring and attentive. If you are looking for a memory care in the Hillsboro area, stop in and see Rosewood. Highly recommend moving your loved one here.
