Amber Fortenberry, the Administrator of Birch Ridge is fantastic! She cares so much about my Dad's well being and has been very very helpful to my Dad and to me, his son. I can't say enough about how wonderful Amber Fortenberry is!

A New Home For My Aunt After calling and visiting nearly every assisted living facility in the area—with no luck—I felt completely deflated. Places were either too expensive, unequipped for dementia care, poorly maintained, or simply gave me bad vibes (always trust your intuition). Friends in the healthcare field warned me against certain facilities, and my hopes were fading. Several people mentioned Birch Ridge, but given my prior experiences, my expectations were low. Since I was heading home out of state, I figured I’d make a quick stop on my way. I’m so glad I did. The moment I walked in, the place was alive. Residents were chatting and laughing with each other and the staff. The space was clean, welcoming, and free from the unpleasant "Assisted Living Smell" I had encountered elsewhere. A staff member approached, asking how she could help. I explained I was looking for a place for my aunt, and she quickly introduced me to Amber, the administrator. Amber greeted me warmly and offered a full tour, walking me through the property, showing me available rooms, and answering every question I could think to ask. A hairstylist visits regularly, the meals are delicious (I was even invited to stay for dinner!), and residents enjoy live guitar, singing, Bible studies, and engaging social activities. My pup is welcome to visit; and I can stay overnight or take my aunt out whenever I want. I said YES and started the paperwork immediately. Three months have passed, and I could not be more relieved and grateful for my decision. I thought it would be a great time to write my review!

I can't say enough good things about the ladies that took care of my dad. Although his stay here was rather short, the staff and Amber went over and above themselves to ensure that his final days were enjoyable and comfortable. I truly appreciate all that they did and the support they provided during a rather difficult time.
