my mother was treated like family - great staff - nice facility

Unorganized full of staff drama

My mom was at Sage Meadows for 8 months prior to her passing in September. She had been at another assisted living facility, it was absolutely awful, my mom was very unhappy there. She and I toured several facilities before Sage Meadows. When we got there the first thing she said was “this is nice”. The facility is well lite, has wide hallway’s and each room has a large window in it. My mom’s room was good sized and we were able to put enough furniture in it to make it look nice. There was a large bathroom with a shower in it. The food often times left a lot to be desired but a sandwich was always an option. My mom was a a wonderful cook and the food was not up to her standards. However, as I reminded my mom cooking food that will please everyone isn’t going to happen. The majority of the staff truly cared and they took good care of my mom. There are people there that don’t care at all but that’s the reality we’re living in. Overall after being in numerous facilities Sage Meadows was the place my mom felt most at home in and that’s what mattered.

Not enough staff, waited an hour to get out of bed, food was cold & I wouldn't feed it to my dog. Different staff every few days.

Tara and staff provided mom loving, caring and compassionate care. We are most grateful!
