Sagewood at Daybreak

This review is totally about my experience with Memory Care but the entire rating applies to Sagewood as a whole! Months before needing to move mom, who’d lived with us with dementia for almost 10 years, into a Memory Care program, we vetted many local options. Quality of care, individualized needs, quality of engagement activities, proximity, ambiance to name a few. Sagewood at Daybreak stood out and was our first choice. The feeling of family was a huge appeal to us. When it was time for mom to move in, those feelings were confirmed and beyond. The Memory Care team is simply amazing. Director Joelle loves and is sincerely invested in the team and each individual resident. The aides are devoted to the residents and their families, developing relationships that enhanced interests and talents. Always a smile, a hug - positive energy. Sagewood Memory Care focused on engagement versus alone time in the room. The activities to me were pivotal. Mindy orchestrated and delivered these through many resources, published and scheduled for each day of the month. These have appeal to each resident based on spiritual, creative, intellectual, physical and social aspects . It built more connection to the MC family as I participated. The MC family group meets once a month to provide a place to ask questions, learn more about dementia, share and talk about our loved ones. I would highly recommend Sagewood at Daybreak!

Our mom was in the Memory Care area at Sagewood for almost 3 years. I can't say enough good things about the care our Mom received from Joelle and her entire staff. I started to list them by name, and I would like to, but I would not want to leave anyone out. The Med Techs were also amazing. My best compliment is that our mom was very happy during the 3 most difficult years of her life. She had a smile on her face most of the time.

Sagewood is such a nice, friendly atmosphere. The staff is very helpful and caring. My Mother in law has lived there for four years and it’s been a great place for her. Lots of activities and social events. I highly recommend Sagewood for your loved ones.

My family and I are so delighted and so very blessed by the loving care our beautiful wife and mother receives at Sagewood at Daybreak Memory Care. The whole staff and facility is wonderful—and certainly the very best of the best. Our loved one might be in a tough (Alzheimer’s) spot, but she is in a great (Sagewood at Daybreak) place and has the highest possible quality of life possible under the circumstances. Such an incredible and special place. The people here, residents and staff, care so much for each other. At such a tender time in our family’s story, Sagewood has been a rock not only to my parents but to us children as well. Truly “something for everyone” here along the spectrum of aging. Using the onsite Canyon Home Health has been the best decision. Canyon is staffed by incredible people that have a strong working relationship with Sagewood already in place; it has simplified our healthcare needs and life so much to go through Canyon. Can’t say enough good things about the people working and living at Sagewood!!! Also worth noting is that it doesn’t smell like a typical “old folks home” and the lasagna is delicious.
