I work for a health care company that provides services to residents of Salubria and other assisted living facilities around the local valley. I was treated very rudely by the staff today. Right after I walked in the kitchen lady asked another staff member to ask me what I wanted. I told them what I needed to do and what patient I needed to visit. The staff member at the door started to lead me to the patients room and the kitchen lady hollered something about isn’t her bed already fixed. The employee with me told her no this was something else and again the kitchen lady asked isn’t it already fixed? My lady said again this is for a different pt. This is the second time in a few months that I just get a weird vibe from this place. As a healthcare worker I have no issues going in and out of other residential facilities as needed to provide services to MY PATIENTS. Most facilities have an open door policy and one can come and go as they please. A few have keypads or a doorbell to ring if you’re not sure of the code. Those other facilities with keypads have given myself and my coworkers the codes so we can come and go without having ti summon someone to let us in or out. At Salubria I feel unwelcome and unwanted all together. I asked a staff member at my last visit to Salubria if I could have the code so I could let myself back in and was told no. Ok maybe they’ve had problems in the past?? But I have to have someone let me out, let me back in and let me out again every time I visit. And they watch you like a hawk. The problem is the feeling that I’m not trusted and I just get this eery feeling that things are going on around there that just aren’t good. If you can’t simply say to anyone who comes through your door “Hi what can we help you with today?” nicely and instead are just flat out rude are you also treating your residents like that? I texted my coworker and said the staff at Salubria are not nice and he texted right back and said “yep, I hate going there” so I’m not the only one feeling this way. The place creeps me out and the kitchen lady needs to show respect and decency to the public helping the people that live there.

My Grandmother has spent many happy years at this facility. The staff treats her life family and she enjoys life in this home like setting. I am always continually impressed every time I visit.
