Samaritan Place

My mom has been a resident of Lutheran Hillside Village Assisted Living for several months. I can't say enough positive things about this community. Our initial tour with Victoria was terrific and my mom and I had no hesitation about signing up. It is a beautiful place, clean, well-staffed, active and sits in a lovely setting on Galena Road in Peoria. Mom has a one bed/one bath apartment and it is perfect for her. There are so many activities to choose from each day and the Assisted Living food is delicious! George does a terrific job of managing this dining room. The most exceptional thing about LHV is truly the staff! Everyone we deal with, from the administrators, nursing staff, receptionists, dining room, maintenance and housekeeping are so very good at their jobs! They all seem to truly like what they do and it shows every day. I can't possibly name everyone, but I wish to thank Sarah, Barb, Michelle, Edweina, Janet, Ky, George, Jason, Kathy, Ruthie and so many others for the excellent care they provide. Looking for a welcoming retirement community that provides long term care solutions for future needs and relieves your heirs of so many difficult decisions they would otherwise face at your passing. If so, then "The Village" is a wonderful solution where you can enjoy your golden years, virtually carefree.

We recently toured Hillside with our parents. The staff went out of their way to make them feel welcome. Victoria especially was so kind to Mom who is struggling with the idea of moving from their home. The facility is absolutely beautiful. The food and service was exceptional. The residents we spoke with had nothing but positive comments about their life here. You really felt the family connection between residents and staff. Hillside Village checks off every box for an assisted living facility for our parents.

I definitely recommend LHV to anyone - from Independent Living to the Care Center. I know my dad is safe, cared for, and loved and that’s all I can ask for. Plus well fed, as I hear the food is amazing!

I am so happy to have my mother at Lutheran Hillside Village. This care community is managed well, church affiliated and a nonprofit. I am able to rest assured knowing that she is being provided the best of care, meals that she enjoys and activities to keep her happy.
