Sand Cherry Manor

I highly recommend Sand Cherry Manor for anyone looking for a top-notch assisted living facility. My 87-year-old mother had very challenging medical issues and dementia. The gracious owner took her in when no other assisted living facility would. The entire staff provided amazing care for mom, and did so with compassion, kindness and professionalism. They spent time with her above and beyond normal caregiving, chatting with her often, making her feel like family, and most importantly, treating her with dignity and respect. I greatly appreciated that the manager was available via phone or text whenever I had a question or concern about her health. It was a comfort knowing that excellent health care professionals were available 24/7 through the facility. The level of care mom received was 10/10. I will be forever grateful to everyone affiliated with Sand Cherry Manor for making my mom’s final months as comfortable as possible and filled with love.

My 93-y/o grandpa's situation was complicated. He fell down and after some time in the hospital and rehab last year, was not able to regain the ability to walk. Coming back home was not going to work. We needed a transition to a workable living arrangement for him before his time in rehab ran out. Sand Cherry Manor was able to provide an assisted living my grandpa could afford that is also within five minutes of our home so that his friends and relatives can visit any time. I'm pleased with the level of care he receives and we both really like the staff. Sand Cherry Manor is led by a doctor who knows the ins and outs of the medical system and helped us get better care from the hospital/rehab situations for my Grandpa in order to make the best transition into assisted living. Both the doctor and the on-site manager are excellent communicators and easy to work with. They helped us negotiate challenges presented by continuous changes to my grandpa's health issues, with multiple hospitalizations preventing him from moving in and the changes to his health since then. Sand Cherry Manor also has an in-house physician program and a pharmacy service that are a real advantage to us. The managers and caregivers at Sand Cherry Manor are extremely attentive to every type of need my Grandpa has, including not only his health concerns but also his food preferences and the things that make him happy, like telling stories and controlling his own TV channels. I can't say enough about their cheerful spirit and positive attitude in social interactions, which does a lot for my grandpa's mental well-being. The caregivers are extremely generous, adaptable, and helpful in every situation -- and they are also great cooks, which is a day to day plus that my grandpa appreciates. One year into grandpa's new living situation, I am confident we made the best choice in difficult circumstances. It is hard for me to imagine what would have happened if we had not been able to lean on Sand Cherry Manor at this challenging time. Our family is truly grateful for their kindness and daily support for my grandpa.
