The staff is genuinely caring and friendly. This is a new facility, so everything is modern and nice. The activity staff are great and the residents enjoy getting together often. There is a branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints organized here that holds sacrament meeting on Sunday in the facility as well as weekly Come Follow Me lessons on Wednesdays and Family Home Evening activities on Monday nights. All are welcome.

My mom has been at Saratoga View almost a year. I have been so impressed with the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. The activities are very enjoyable and diverse and help maintain a better level of cognitive ability. The staff checks on my mom, makes me aware of concerns and always welcomes my questions. The other residents are friendly and welcoming of new people. I am very happy that I found Saratoga View for my mom. She is happy there!

I have been a resident a Saratoga View for over a year, and have loved every minute of it! We have opportunities to use our talents. A bus is available to go to the store, Dr. appointments, and outings. We are also able to take the bus to attend sessions at the temple! We often enjoy entertainers who come to share their talents! The Bingo nights are especially fun!

I would give 4 stars to the staff for their heart and genuine willingness to do things correctly. Also 4 stars for the building and the room, very nice accommodations. I would give 1 star to the management team. Our family chose this assisted living facility for my mom, but unfortunately our experience was not what we had hoped for. She was only there for about 6 weeks before she passed, but during that time it became clear that while the staff on the floor were kind, caring, and wanted to do a good job, they were undertrained and lacked the support of strong processes from management. Shift-to-shift communication was poor. My mom’s medications were often not passed along correctly, and when changes were made, there did not seem to be a reliable system to ensure accuracy. She was also on a soft food diet, but despite this facility being owned by Rocky Mountain Care—a company built on nursing home care where soft food diets should be standard—we never once received meals that met those requirements. The staff struggled with safely moving her after she lost mobility, which put both her and them at risk. It wasn’t for lack of effort—they were consistently kind and tried their best—but they clearly did not have the training or support they needed. What makes this even harder is that the facility fully accepted my mom into their care knowing her diagnosis, prognosis, and mobility challenges. Looking back, it feels like they said “yes” simply to fill a room, not because they had the processes in place to care for her appropriately. The hospice team (not Rocky Mountains hospice service an outside company) that came in to care for her helped make up the difference. For the cost of care, we expected better oversight and stronger systems. I place the responsibility for these shortcomings on the management of the facility, not the frontline workers. If your loved one has increasing medical or mobility needs, I would recommend considering a different facility. If my mom’s decline had not been so rapid, we would have moved her elsewhere before she passed.
