Our mother was a resident at Seagrass Village of Gulf Shores for almost 5 years. She lived in both an Independent Living apartment and an Assisted Living unit. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about the staff, facility and services provided at Seagrass Village of Gulf Shores. Seagrass Village is a beautiful facility with a caring staff, excellent amenities, a variety of social programs and comprehensive support services. When our mother moved in to her Independent Living apartment, she was welcomed immediately by the residents and she developed many new and caring friendships. She took full advantage of the many social programs and lead an active and full life while she was in good health. Due to declining health, we made the decision to moved her into an Assisted Living unit. This allowed her to take advantage of the additional health support services; medication management, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, fall assistance, multiple daily check-ins, laundry, etc. The beauty of moving her to Assisted Living was not only the professional health care she received, but since she was still in the same building, she was able to maintain friendships with all of her social buddies. Unfortunately she suffered a stroke and after weeks of rehab, we had to make the decision to move her to a skilled nursing facility. After looking at several area skilled nursing facilities, we were very disappointed with our options. We then asked Seagrass Village of Gulf Shores if she could return to an Independent Living apartment and could we hire in Home Health Care professionals to attend to her needs 24/7. The staff at Seagrass Village said yes, and it was like a weight was lifted off our shoulders. She was able to move back into a familiar place, surrounded by her friends and a caring staff that wanted nothing but the best for her as she lived out the remainder of her life. If you are looking for a caring Senior Living Facility that has both Independent Living apartments and Assisted Living units under the same roof, we highly recommend Seagrass Village of Gulf Shores. The staff are excellent, caring professionals, who are committed to servicing the needs of their residents. The amenities are plentiful and the health support services are exactly what residents need to live a full and productive life.

What stands out most is the way the medical techs, especially Lisa M. treat each resident with dignity and respect. It’s not just about routines—it’s about relationships. They take the time to listen, to engage, and to make each person feel truly seen and valued. That level of care creates a sense of safety and belonging that has made all the difference for our family. If you’re looking for a place where your loved one will be cared for with compassion, professionalism, and genuine attentiveness, I can recommend this community.

Lisa Morelli is an amazing nurse. She has been promoted to Director of Resident Services since we were there. Congratulations Lisa! Lisa is very caring and very knowledgeable. We were only there for a couple months as “snowbirds” but she made sure everything was taken care of and that things flowed smoothly. She always has a smile and a kind word for all. One of the most helpful and caring persons I’ve ever met❤️ Seagrass is a beautiful facility. Love the high ceilings and all the open spaces to gather, or sit and relax.
