When my dad could no longer care for my mother at home, we very fortunately found Senior Fluent in Zebulon. We were so impressed by the facility; it was so clean and neat and homelike. We liked the fact that the house only housed 5 residents. The staff were so kind to my mom and took the best care of her. The owners, Blake and Helen, are wonderful people who are truly care about their residents and the quality of care they receive. We would recommend this facility to anyone needing care for their loved ones.

My mother has been a resident at The Maples for the past 3 years and we couldn’t be more grateful for the exceptional care she has received. Owners Blake and Helen are hands-on, frequently present at the home, and always available by phone day or night. Their kindness and dedication shine through in how they work closely with our family to address my mother’s needs promptly and thoughtfully. The staff is equally impressive- patient, attentive and genuinely caring towards all the residents. The home is beautiful, clean, orderly and welcoming, with an open door policy that allows us to visit any time. We highly recommend The Maples by Senior Fluent to anyone seeking a warm, supportive, responsive home for their loved one.

My dad was at The Maple for about 2 years (after which I just moved him so he was closer to me). Loved the owners and the care he received there. It is because of the attentiveness of their staff that things were identified early and I was able to have peace of mind while he was there. The owners are also really amazing and would check in on him and take him on outings - they are wonderful people. Communication was easy and I felt that he was safe and well cared for there. Would highly recommend.

My mom suffered several falls living on her own, resulting in a broken hip. She has been in 3 different facilities (in Garner, Raleigh, & Rocky Mount) for her fall recoveries. I was very unhappy with the care she received there. They were always under-staffed, which resulted in mom being neglected & mistreated. So when the doctor told me that she needed round-the-clock care, I knew that a large facility would not be an option. I started researching small, private, care homes and found The Maple by Senior Fluent in Zebulon. My mom & I went for a tour, met the owner & staff, and I was very pleased. The home is new, beautifully decorated, and in a nice neighborhood. This is exactly what i was looking for... 6 residents max, round-the-clock staff, all meals & snacks provided, activities, doctors come to the home for appointments, safe & secure (for those that wander), and the staff is amazing. Mom has been living there since September and she has done well with the adjustment. She has made friends with the staff, residents, & owners and seems happy. I am thrilled because I know she is being cared for. I see the owners when i go visit and they are absolutely wonderful. Blake and Helen are genuine and friendly people with hearts of gold.

I have personally worked in the senior living industry for the past 30 years and often have adult children reach out to me to find a place for their aging parent to live at. That being said, I spend much of my time looking at a lot of senior care facilities and private care homes throughout North Carolina and Florida. Today, while searching for a care home for one of my clients, I had the honor and privilege of touring “The Maple” in Zebulon, NC and was so impressed with my experience, that I felt the need to share about it here. I was first greeted at the door by Helen one of the owners. I immediately felt her sincerity, warmth and genuineness and was happy to know she was an “on site” owner as well and would be personally interacting with the residents daily. I was then given an extensive tour which was “everything and more” than I had expected! A spacious and beautifully decorated home (all brand new too!!), large, open bathrooms (with a walk in shower that’s always a senior’s best friend!), more than ample storage space, a lovely and airy screened in patio area adjacent to a large, privately fenced-in backyard. While walking through the designer kitchen, I could just imagine the delectable cuisine that would be prepared daily there by their Chef! On the kitchen counter was an Activity Calendar for the month of May and I was happy to see so many daily (and fun) activities for the residents. (Helen told me she welcomes the residents’ ideas and suggestions on activities they would like to have there too!) I knew my client would love the fact she could get her hair and nails done regularly as well! As I sat for awhile in one of the 6 comfortable (and reclining/vibrating) lounge chairs in the main living room, looking up at the large widescreen TV and paddle fan above, and gazing out of one of the picturesque windows overlooking the well kept manicured lawn, I could literally envision, not only the client I was shopping for living there, but also myself one day when it comes time to downsize and move into a care home such as this (and I’m here to tell you that in all the properties I have toured over the past 30 years, I’ve never thought of any of them for myself personally when needed, but today I did based on how beautiful, spacious, well-maintained and operated this one was.) When touring a property, I always make a list of the pros and cons in it, however today, my Pros list was full and the Cons list had nothing on it. A rarity in this type of business ! Needless-to-say, I will be encouraging my client to rent a room at The Maple and also invite any of you reading this, to check it out for yourself and for your loved one. One of the most time consuming (and often times heart-wrenching and difficult) experiences is having to look for long term care for your aging parent with day to day care needs and wanting to be sure you make the RIGHT decision and one that you will feel good about afterwards. It shouldn’t have to be this way, but unfortunately it is, however, choosing The Maple for your loved one will be just the opposite and I personally feel, will be the BEST decision you ever make for their remaining senior years !
