A Beautiful home if you're looking to feel more "at home" than just stuck in a Skilled Nursing Facility, while still getting the care you need, medications, yummy meals, companionship, plus a huge backyard, fireplace, comfortable relaxing furniture, home cooked meals and more!!! Peaceful leisure areas to just take in the fresh air away from the main milieu for more privacy, as well as smaller living rooms to watch TV away from the main milieu for relaxation, meditation, solidarity & autonomy. - Elevators if you live on the second floor with posted activities to sign up for with Sammy the Activities Director who has a whole list of Excursions from Carlsbad, Encinitas, Del Mar, La Jolla and all the beautiful nearby beaches beautiful San Diego has to offer! Enjoyable rocking chairs outside to watch the beautiful San Diego sunrise over the mountains while taking in the smell of the lush green grass in front and enormous fenced backyard or just read a book and take in the crisp spring air. - As Spring is rushing in, enjoy hearing the beards sing as you sip your morning coffee and welcome in the Spring season. Experienced and STATE tested, knowledgeable providers on hand that know what to look for/ monitor & to ensure you are getting the best care you need inside your apartment/room, from cleanliness, to at your service hospitality with a smile in the dining room for meals together with a home, family, community feel. -

My mom has been living at Shadowridge for over two years. She really likes it there and I love that I can reach the facility at all times day or night. The facility Director, Michele is amazing! I can text message Michele and the nursing staff for any reason and they text or call back very quickly. They have a GREAT Activity Director who organizes games, movie nights, and shopping and cultural outings. The residents have regular meetings with the staff to discuss issues and suggestions for improvements or new activities. The facility is well maintained and has outdoor spaces for residents to read or just relax in the sun or shade. Thank you to all the Shadowridge staff for taking great care of my mom for all these years!

My Dad lived at Shadowridge for almost two years of his final days. He was treated with compassion and kindness. The staff was easy to work with for me and always available.

Navigating care and living arrangements is a difficult process. Shadowridge Senior Living has been very knowledgeable and helpful. My mom has lived there for over 2 years and I am very pleased with her care. The care and medical staff are very attentive to her needs. The daily activities are creative and enticing. The staff does a good job of communicating with family. I am very happy with this community.

It was validated for me today that this place has set a precedence for certain socioeconomic classes. The administrator, Levina, wasn’t professional enough to inform me that my mother wasn’t a good fit for this assisted living location, due to her socioeconomic status. She was also inept in following up when she said she would regardless of how many messages she received from the staff or voicemails I left. The dishonesty she delivered to her sales representative about following up with me about the so-called vacancy she said the facility had, but then filled it without consideration of my mother’s interest was deliberate. If you’re not someone who can’t pay the private admission fees, but have state assistance you’re not the preferred resident for this location. Shadowridge needs to be taken off the list of senior living locations that accept the assisted living waiver, if they’re going to discriminate by socioeconomic status. I don’t appreciate being lead on when the intention was not to consider my mother…this is time me, my husband, and my mother's PCP won’t get back. People have other things to do than to facilitate the job you get paid to do. Manipulation is an acquired taste for those who don't have the moral capacity to fulfill the duties in the position they’ve been hired to do. Karma is inevitable for those who operate in this manner. This type of flawed character should not be in the midst of caring for our elder population.
