The staff and community are all very caring and truly care for their residents. Christine and Heather do an amazing job at creating a welcoming and safe environment. Gracie, Ricky, Juanita, and all the staff in here have a heart for their work and it shows! Keep up the great work!

A nightmare of a place! The employees sit around on their phones instead of tending to their patients needs. My father was never bathed, he wore dirty clothes. The food was a joke! Far from “world class” dining they claim to serve. More like public school cafeteria food. They promise you to take care of your loved ones and treat them like family…..not the case! Our complaints were never addressed. All these positive reviews I’ve seen are either from people that only visit their loved ones on occasion or haven’t been there long enough to notice the negligence of this place. My sister found my father lying on the floor curled up in agony with a very high fever. We don’t know how long he had been like that. He had a serious UTI that eventually lead to his death. He was at Shavano from August to November 2024 and passed away in January 2025 due to complications of a uti. He was only 74. I am writing this to spare others from the same pain we have endured.

It’s only been one month in memory care for both my in laws and their quality of life has already greatly improved! From personal hygiene, nutritious food, taking their medication, just all of their daily needs…we are so grateful! Christine (director) and her staff have been very supportive and compassionate in helping all of us with this transition. I do hope that they get additional help for Christine as she seems to have her hands full, but even so, she always responds to us timely and makes sure to address any questions or concerns. Also, props to LaKeisha, she brings such joy, she makes my MIL smile!

Assisted Living and Memory Care at Shavano Park are amazing facilities. The rooms and environment are great. The activities are carefully planned to match the needs of the residents. However, the BEST part of Shavano Park is the Staff. From Heather, the Executive Director, to Leesah, the Business Manager, to LaShawn, our Sales/Rental Specialist, and Christine, the Director of Memory Care. Their compassion, patience, and wealth of knowledge and information about senior care are beyond excellent. I now have a parent in Assisted Living and her husband in Memory Care. I see so much comfort and compassion from the Care Teams and Medical Technicians. Shavano Park is the place we have found for our family. Thank thank you, Shavano Park! And thank you for all of you who take such good care of our family!!

Our mother's stay at Shavano Park Senior Living was wonderful. The caregivers are so attentive, personable and thorough in providing all her needs. The meals are wonderful and the facility itself always looks clean. The setting inside and out are beautiful. After experience a horrific stay at her first assisted living facility we were impressed and completely confident we made the right move relocating her to Shavano Park Senior Living. There are not enough or strong enough words to accurately capture the appreciation we feel for every staff member there that made her time there so wonderful for there. This is a place where families can feel confident their loved one will receive excellent care.
