SHEARWATER RESIDENCE

We only wish we had found this location sooner in my mom's journey with dementia. Everyone who interacted with Mom was caring and appeared to be truly invested in her being happy. Sadly, our stay was short (less than 5 months). My mom passed because of advanced dementia. In our short time here we interacted with almost all the staff and several of the residents. All of the residents spoke highly of the facility and staff as well, which is a great indication of the quality of Shearwater.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Shearwater Assisted Living. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how clean and welcoming the environment was. The staff is incredibly friendly and genuinely caring, always making sure residents feel comfortable and at home. The activities they offer are so much fun, and it’s clear that they go above and beyond to keep everyone engaged. It’s not just about providing care—it’s about creating an enriching, joyful experience. The staff is attentive and compassionate, always checking in on my loved one and providing excellent care. I truly appreciate how they take the time to build relationships with the residents, making them feel valued and respected. Overall, Shearwater has been an amazing place for my loved one, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a safe, caring, and friendly environment for their family member.

Nothing but great things to say about Shearwater!! From the day my father arrived to the day of his passing, everyone there was nothing but gracious and helpful. Cannot thank the entire staff enough for everything they did for my dad as well as the rest of our family. The beauty of Shearwater is the family atmosphere they nurture and encourage. The staff to resident ratio is phenomenal!! Again, thank you so much for everything you do!!

Wonderful care home!! My mother-in-law has been here for almost 2 years now and I can not believe how much her health has improved both mentally and physically. The room and common areas are always spotless and the caregivers are caring and professional. This was the best decision we could have made when choosing a facility to care for our mom!!

My Mom has been at Shearwater for over 3 years and she is well taken care of. She enjoys the friends she's made there and she likes the staff. It's like a family. There are workers who have worked there a long time and it's a smaller, intimate facility, which is great. During the pandemic, the workers have done what they could to make the lock down easier on the residents and families. My Mom is doing great and I am very thankful she is in the hands of caring people.
