SHELBY TERRACE

My mother lived here for almost 4 years until she needed additional care and moved to the nursing home. The staff is top notch and the residents have all been wonderful. We consider Shelby Terrace an extended family and would recommend very highly.

After looking at several assisted living facilities in the La Crosse WI area, my dad picked Shelby Terrace to be his new home. It is very clean there and the residents who live at Shelby Terrace had all told my dad during our tour "This is a good place to live, you would really like living here". Dad has been there for a month and a half now and truly loves it. He has made several friends and enjoys the outings that they have each week. They also have bingo and card playing every week. Recently, they had an October fest party, and all the families were invited. They had a tapping of a root beer keg, games, live music and lots of food. It was a lot of fun for everyone! They really encourage social activities there. The staff are very friendly, kind, caring, and attentive. He feels safe there. Included in his rent is a wrist band with a call for help button that he can push if he ever has an emergency, and the staff will come hastily to his room to help. Also included in his rent is two meals a day - lunch and supper. Also: weekly cleaning of his apartment, with stripping and making of his bed , two loads of laundry a week, heat, air conditioning, electricity, water, and cable T.V. It is comforting to know my father is in a safe place and I don't need to worry about him. I am very Grateful.to all the staff at Shelby Terrace for the good job they do, and for being there for my dad!!!

I honestly cannot say enough good about this assisted living. My dad is happy here and has made great improvement thanks to the amazing staff. Apartment style living allows privacy. The other residents are wonderful. The facility is clean and pleasantly decorated. And the icing on the cake is that it is very reasonably priced.
