Silver Birch Of Fort Wayne

I always have positive, friendly interactions with the staff at Silver Birch. They've been very helpful and kind. The residents seem to be having a nice time together when I am there!

I am very well pleased with the staffs professionalism and customer service which is hard to come by these days. Each and every staff member I have come into contact with has been exceptionally kind and professional, as well as knowledgeable and willing to assist in any way necessary throughout every department that I dealt with. I was able to tour the facilities quite thoroughly, before bringing my relative to tour and after. I have to say the space is accommodating and updated. Everything I seen was impeccably clean down to each furnishing and every detail. All the residents seemed very happy and friendly and comfortable. I appreciate the staff going above and beyond, and for assisting us with things we were having difficulties with during the application process. I feel like the process has been smooth and timely. I can recognize that they are a team and committed to serving their residents and giving them a good experience during their latter years.

I am sharing this review because I have a family member at this facility and in the last couple of month I have seen a change. I see that there is good things going on. I see they have a new person there running the building who you can talk to the first time I every got a call to let me know what is going on and asking how I feel. I would recommend cause I see a good change and brother is happy and pleased

Today 20250213 is a special day for me. Also I am a resident & have been just over a year. I am posting today primarily as a food review. I worked a good part of my life in the food & beverage industry, primarily in FLA. I even owned a fast food place back in '89. JK's Dairy Shake. When I 1st came here a year ago, the cooks they had would have struggled being dishwashers any place I worked or owned. Several months back, the corporate nutritionist visited. I was privileged to talk to her a few minutes. I've got to say, the cooks she hired & are still here, I would have hired as cooks back in the day. Today I had a slice of BBQ pizza that was awesome. Didn't need anything. I had a thigh & leg quarter (a short thigh, in rural FLA parlance) that was probably good by itself, but I hit it with some freshly ground black pepper & other spices (I usually eat in my room, so I have the spices) Very good. All in all, a good special day for me.

Silver Birch Fort Wayne is a gorgeous assisted living facility. The staff are caring and competent. It's a great team!
