ASSISTED LIVING OF AZLE

The director (Aurora) at this facility does not care about the patients. She will lie and deny all wrong doing. If your loved one complains she will have them put out of the facility. If your loved one disagrees with her she will mistreat them and allow her employees to do the same. The owner is aware of this behavior and will not return your phone calls. She let's the director run the facility whatever way she wants. She will tell you everything you want to hear, about how well they care for the residents. But they don't do any of the things they say they will do. If you the family member, disagree with her she will have you trespassed off of the property. The police have to do so, even if there is no legitimate reason to do so, per Texas law. Please protect your loved one's. Don't get sucked in by their lies. There has been calls to the state on this facility. I am sure there will be more. I feed my dogs better than they feed the residents. They tried to feed them raw meat loaf. When the residents complained they were threatened with tv dinners. Sadly the tv dinners would have been an improvement. They say they clean your room once a week. My mother was there 9 1/2 months. They mopped her floor 3 times in total in that time frame. They let them go for weeks and sometimes months without changing their bedding, unless there is an accident. Complaints get swept under the rug and ignored. Or Aurora's favorite words " you misunderstood them, or me ". It is her way or the highway. She does NOT have a heart for the residents. It breaks my heart.

I will say that I interviewed many facilities before choosing Silver Creek Azle for my grandmother. I knew when I walked in that it was going to be a good one because It smelled great and everyone was out in the living room and on the patio socializing. I talked to several of the residents and they were happy! Working with Durinda was a breath of fresh air. She was truly concerned and she took charge of everything that I was so confused about! 6 months later and no complaints! Even through the pandemic! Always welcoming to be and the family… nothing to hide like the other places! Also the food is all fresh and the staff really do make Home Style delicious meals. They even invite me to eat when I’m visiting!

This place is amazing! My loved one has been living here for almost a year and I’ve never had to worry about the care she’s receiving. The staff is caring and communicates well with me of what my loved one needs. Durenda the Director has always showed a love for all of the residents that you don’t see at other facilities. The facility is always clean and welcoming. I like the fact that my loved one has her own room, personal bathroom and is able to sit outside on the huge back porch anytime she desires. I highly recommend Azle Silver Creek Assisted Living for those that want a sense of independent living but are not capable of for some reason or another!

You will not find a more loving and caring team than the one at Silver Creek! All of their food is good home cooking! They even grow some of their own vegetables! Durenda, the Director is one of the nicest people ever and gives 110% to all of the residents. This place is just amazing!

I love Silver Creek. I visit often as a 3rd party provider and I always leave with a smile. The residents here are so happy and content. They are so well loved by the staff and it shows! The Executive Director and her husband come in on her day off for cookouts and to prepare special meals. The staff provides engaging activities and lots of interaction, but the icing on the cake is the beautiful patio area out back that really gives one a feeling of of country living. The residents love to sit out back and watch the squirrels 🐿 play. It’s just so laid back and peaceful at Silver Creek! I highly recommend this community to anyone looking for the next best thing to home.
