They never answer the phone, it goes straight to a full mailbox, been trying to contact them for weeks now .. no email nothing

Had my dad in Silver Oaks. Stephanie, the owner, was wonderful. Always on top of things and so helpful. We had to do hospice care and Silver Oaks was so accommodating. The staff was excellent and so kind to my dad and to to the rest of my family. The facility is very nice and clean. I highly recommend this facility.

My Aunt Betty is a current resident at Silver Oaks since May. She is 97 and in poor health but mentally very sharp. The staff here are skilled and compassionate. Very competent and strong communicators. The owner is hands on and involved. Although the end is coming, I am comfortable knowing she is in good hands and not in pain. Thank you Silver Oaks.

I moved my 93 year old father to Silver Oaks late last year. He was living in a large "corporate" assisted living facility in Sacramento which was nice but had too few care givers to properly look after him. And their services were ala carte and extremely expensive. He then began to fall a good deal and spent a lot of time in the emergency room at Sutter Hospital (I did as well)! The facility just couldn't provide the kind of care he uniquely needed. So I decided to find a board-and-care home where he could have the attention and quality care as well as retain his dignity that one deserves at this point in their life. I looked at three in the Sacramento area. All were extremely depressing. Nice employees, however the homes were old with a good deal of deferred maintenance. At the last moment Silver Oaks was referred to me by family friends whose mother had recovered there from brain surgery. They highly encouraged me to take a look at it as the family loved the staff, the quality of care their mother received as well as the general environment that was respectful and dignified. Long story short.....they had one open room. Stephanie.... the owner interviewed my dad and was very supportive of what I was attempting to do. So I ultimately moved him there and have never regretted a moment as he is treated like a king by all the Silver Oaks Team. In addition dad is always clean, his room, sheets and clothing are as well. And the food is homemade each day and dad is made to sit at the dining table with the other guests so he can visit (he was no longer going down to eat at his prior care home and had become a recluse). As important as everything I've listed above is the fact the I can sleep now. I have been in a constant state of worry that I'd be getting another call from a med tech who was taking my dad to emergency. My quality of life has greatly improved as I look after both my father and my mother who are both in need of a high level of hands-on-care. We placed my mom at Silver Oaks while she was recovering from a major surgery. My family had no prior experience with board and care or assisted living up until this point and at the time we were searching for options everything was very uncertain (in terms of what level of care she'd need and for how long). Stephanie, the owner of Silver Oaks, instantly made the decision easier for us. From the start, she took a very thorough, caring and hands-on approach with my mom and my family and her entire staff was amazing in helping my mom adjust to life away from home, communicating with our family, and in my mom's recovery. My mom appreciated the relationships she formed there (she still calls Stephanie) and loved taking her daily walks around the large and beautiful backyard. After a few months of rest and recovery at Silver Oaks, I'm happy to say mom was ready to come home. Can't thank Stephanie and the team at Silver Oaks enough for their role in my mom's recovery.
