SILVERGATE SAN MARCOS RETIREMENT RESIDENCE

Very caring neighborhood feel at Silvergate. Residents are cared for at their own level and encouraged to participate in all activities. Feels like small family instead of large business. I am glad I chose Silvergate for my Mom.

Our mother has been at Silvergate for 3.5 years. The facility is very nice and well kept. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Recently though, it feels as if attention to patients has declined. Our mother is getting further along with Alzheimer’s and things are starting to slip as far as care. We reach out to ask questions and answers aren’t sure and have to be sought. We have increase the amount at assistance she receives, including the associated costs, and it doesn’t seem to help. Hoping things can improve.

My mom is comfortable and cared for at Silvergate. She has friends, activities, and people looking out for her. Her meds are managed by the staff, and there's even onsite physical therapy! I feel she is safe and cared for. My only wish would be if they were able to accommodate mom's dietary restrictions, like an official lactose free diet.

My wife visits her friend two days a week. She takes care of her personal belongings. She has had jewelry come up missing. Sometimes found not always. People have ruined her shirts washing them ( shrink). She has nice things and can’t be replaced! My wife left big notes to remind them don’t wash her shirts, sweaters and beautiful jackets!

This is an outstanding facility! Very clean, comfortable & supportive to the residents. Dining room is beautiful & food is wonderful. My mother-in-law has lived here 3 years & has developed friendships with her neighbors.
