I recently made the very difficult decision to move my father into a new memory care community, and while we ultimately chose another location based on location, I want to share how truly incredible our experience was with Sonata of Delray Beach. From the moment we walked in, Jim, the Executive Director, made us feel genuinely welcomed. His warmth, openness, and heartfelt dedication to the residents and families were clear from the start. I actually referenced him when speaking to other communities as the gold standard for what leadership should look like in a care setting. Anecia was another standout. Her ability to understand and articulate exactly how I was feeling—sometimes before I could even put it into words—was so comforting. Her compassion and emotional intelligence make a world of difference during such a vulnerable time. And Martine is a true advocate. You can tell she goes to bat for every resident and family, and her passion for creating a meaningful, thoughtful memory care program is inspiring. Although we chose a different community based on the nearness to family. I left Sonata with such deep respect and appreciation. The people at Sonata of Delray Beach are not only professionals—they are deeply kind, intuitive, and dedicated individuals. There may be no perfect answer when it comes to care, but being surrounded by people like this makes the journey so much more bearable. I wholeheartedly recommend taking the time to visit Sonata if you are exploring memory care options for a loved one.

I visited Sonata West Delray Assisted Living with my mom and we met with Anecia. The moment we stepped into the building, we were greeted with warm, welcoming smiles and conversation. The staff, in particular the Head of Activities, made her way over to talk to my mom and ask her about her interests. She was enthusiastic and you could tell she loves what she does! Anecia was informative, compassionate, and sincere. You really got the feeling she was concerned and interested in my mom and learning about the person rather than just “selling a room”. We also found Sonata to be clean and updated. All in all a very positive and pleasant experience!

My mother has been a resident at Sonata Delray Beach for over two years, and our experience has been nothing short of exceptional. The facility is always clean, and the staff—including the management team—is not only highly competent but also incredibly helpful and attentive. The warm and welcoming atmosphere makes it feel like home, providing comfort not just for my mother but for our entire family. I highly recommend Sonata Delray Beach to anyone seeking quality care in a friendly and supportive environment.

This is my second review of Sonata Assisted Living in West Delray Beach. My mom has been a resident for over six years and I continue to be amazed with the excellent care, companionship and love that she receives from every single employee. Because Sonata is a smaller community, it offers such good personal care to every resident. I’m so thankful for the excellent and supportive team that Sonata offers. Mr. James Burns, Executive Director, who runs this facility is by far the best person to head Sonata…he is so genuine, always has time for the families, and truly cares for all of the residents. All of the nurses are so very dedicated to each resident and are always available to answer all of your questions. Terri Michaels is the Lifetime Director offers so many wonderful activities and events for the residents. The moment you walk into Sonata you feel the love and positively. Thank you for the team that makes Sonata great!!

My wife joined Sonata Delray Beach community a few weeks ago. After visiting and interviewing several local Assisted Living/Memory Care communities, I have selected Sonata for her, where she was assigned to Memory Care unit. Compared to other communities, I made selection based on the "homey" appearence of the facility, its cleanlines and the friendly and welcoming staff. Also, during the selection process, I found Sonata's management highly attentive and responsive to my wife's situation, expertly addressing her specific needs. My wife enjoys her large, bright appartment as well as the tasty, quality meals which are served in the dining room. She receives physical therapy sessions on the site from kind staff in a well equipped recently renovated exercise room. There are well organized, supervised daily activities indoors or outdoors in the community courtyard. I am pleased with my choice of Sonata Delray Beach and would highly recommend it to others.
