Vicksburg Family Home Care is a great company. We were looking for services for my family member a few months back, who was on hospice. And even though my family member passed away before we got started, Kelsey, Terry and Diana were very kind and gave us all the information we were needing. Highly recommend!!!

Our family is having a great experience with Vicksburg Family Home Care. Since our introduction, Terry went above and beyond; he directly communicated with our family doctor and Medicaid caseworker on several occasions to set up, then modify services to meet our family's needs. Our experiences with VFHC staff has also been wonderful as they consistently serve our loved one with care and consideration. We are very appreciative of VFHC, Terry, Kristen, Kelci, Akilah, and Raeann, and are so very thankful that we found them!

If you need a caregiver, confirm that they have someone coming. Twice, they were no shows. Confirm that they will be on time or within a few minutes if you have appointments to keep. Our last caregiver was 30 minutes late and we had to cancel her. Don't set up a caregiver with Terry. Not sure why he doesn't record the request and you will not get a caregiver. When the caregiver doesn't show up, then he will tell you that you never called and set one up. The other girls on staff are very good. We tried working with this company 6 times, only the first 2 times were good. If you are fortunate to get a caregiver to come, the 2 we had were excellent.

It pains me to have to put such a warning out but please beware if you utilize Vicksburg Family Home Care. My husband was near the end of his life and we needed help a few hours a day. After hiring this home health care service, I was shocked when they sent over 3 different aides in the span of 4 days who did not know the first thing about care. One girl broke down at my dining room table crying saying she was overwhelmed and was not sure of what to do. Another example of poorly trained employees was when the aide did not know how to transfer my husband from the bed to the commode and he almost fell. She also did not know how to make his bed as she wadded up all the sheets and left his bed in shambles. Another aide did not know how to clean him up with basic care needs such as shaving or clothes changing. I was very displeased and called the owner after 4 days to let him know I would not be utilizing their care anymore and he quickly went defensive. He was making up excuses and by the end told me he would not charge me for the 4 days of unsatisfying care. I then receive a bill in the mail for all 4 days. When I called him again, he proceeded to be extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. Please beware when putting your loved ones in their care as they do not take pride in educating or training their employees to do their job properly. This is a very scary situation as we are dealing with individuals who need this help to survive.
