SPRINGFIELD ASSISTED LIVING

My mother and father both live at Springfield Assisted Living and I could not be happier with the care they receive. My mother needs help with everything from medications to meals, laundry, showering, cleaning her apartment and everything in between. My father is 91, yet still gets around fairly well. He enjoys eating his meals in the dining room and chatting with the other residents. Dad also appreciates the onsite salon where he can get a haircut. My parents have been divorced for many years, yet came to need daily assistance within several months of each other. We had my mother in another community and were not at all satisfied with her care. Since moving her to Springfield Assisted Living, we have seen improvement in some areas, and she is getting the help she needs with her daily needs. Dad recently lost his wife and can no longer care for himself at home. My dad enjoys his patio where he can watch the birds. My brother and I both appreciate the convenience of having them both in the same community. Based upon my experience, I would highly recommend this community.

I have lived here since May of 2024, and have no complaints! I was concerned about moving into a "assisted living " facility. To me it was one step closer to a nursing home. But I have found that this is a great place for me! Staff is always very helpful when I need them and respects my decision when I don't. I enjoy all of the activities and amenities available to me and make good use of them all. Dining room is a good place to socialize and make new friends,the menu is basic and has options from which you can choose from. Overall I would give it four and a half stars. I am enjoying it here more than I thought I would.

The only good thing I can see about this place is That it is fairly clean. However, my father is a Resident there and he has signed up for The practicing physician to come to his room and no one ever shows up. I've called the facility multiple times and you can never get through to anyone. If I have concerns I have to go directly into the facility and talk to a human. The food is basically trash. They are doing many renovations To the cafeteria , but I wish they would put more money into the quality of the meals.
