Staff kissing and fondling eachother in fron of the residence. I was just there visiting family 2 days a go and saw 2 of the PCA staff kissing and fondling eachother in fron of the residents. That's nasty.

Mom happily spent the last 2 years of her life here. The staff genuinely love and care about their residents and it shows in how they treat them with care and respect. They knew Mom as an individual person, not just "one of many". Tabby and her team were also always very responsive and communicative with updates or replies to any questions or concerns and I always knew Mom was in a safe and caring environment. I highly recommend Springs of Catawba to anyone looking for an assisted living facility.

Staff & Management are Highly Disrespectful starting with Cindy a wannabe manager who doesn’t know how to manage correctly to manage is to direct your staff not talk to them crazy. Tammy is also rude just because you are having a bad day doesn’t give you the right to talk to your staff crazy then expect them not to have a bad mood after none of us are saints. Tracie another wannabe manager who focused on getting someone fired more than why people are passing away from simple UTIs & Tabby judging without knowing full stories as a ED you should have cameras so you won’t be guessing. Worried about the wrong thing should be worrying about the roaches residents sleeping with and eating in they daily meals.

We were sold on Springs of Catawba in Hickory the moment we met the Manager, Tabby. Actually the moment our mother met Tabby. Mom had already been diagnosed with dementia and was not always happy around people in general. After a couple of moments Mom was smiling and by the end of the visit she was completely comfortable with Tabby. Tabby, herself, greeted us the day Mom went to be a resident. After a short stay in the Assisted Living side Mom was moved to Memory Care so she could get additional assistance. Our Dad realized what a nice facility Mom was in during his initial visits, so much so , that he asked my sister and I if he could move from a nearby Senior Living Center to the Assisted Living side at Springs of Catawba so he could be closer to Mom. Mom was a resident from April of 2022 til December 0f 2023 when she passed after a rapid decline of her dementia. Dad was a resident from November of 2022 til September of 2025 when he peacefully passed at the age of 94. We cannot say enough good things about Tabby and her Team! Mom and Dad were extremely well cared for and we were always kept up to date between our visits. We were pleasantly surprised at the amount of personal touch all the staff provided from day one.

Our experience with the staff and service rendered at Springs of Catawba in Hickory, NC has been great. My sister lived there for 6 years until her resent death. The majority of her time was in the Assisted Living area where she was helped with her individual needs especially working hard to encourager her to take the medicines she needed. During her final year and as she needed more individual help, she was moved to the Memory Care unit which was a very positive move for her. During her final 6 months Hospice also helped working well with the staff. Throughout her stay we were kept well informed of her condition and how they were being handled. With my sister’s situation we knew she had to be in a locked facility. We had complete confidence that she was always safe. We have already recommended and will continue to recommend Springs of Catawba in Hickory,NC.
