ST LOUIS CARE HOME

With Dennis Ambat as administrator, my sister received loving care for over 9 years at JCH. Her husband also lived at JCH for 6 years until his death. Dennis went over the top to assure that they both not only had all their basic needs met but felt loved and respected. He went the extra mile in assuring that they could do as much as their capacities allowed them to do, like taking walks and putting away their own laundry. He made life fun for them, as well, by decorating for the holidays and helping them to participate in those decorations as they could. JCH is in an ideal location at the end of a dead end street in a nice, quiet neighborhood. There is a nice park within walking distance with benches and tables for picnics.

My brother lived in the Jefferson Care Home for seven years. While Dennis was the primary caretaker, the Home was truly a home—a place of attentive care, cleanliness, humor, and compassion. Not only were my brother’s many medical needs met but he was treated like a valuable member of a family.
