My mom spent years resisting the idea of moving into a senior living community, but wow, what a difference The Manor has made in just four months! Living in Europe, I used to worry constantly about her being alone in her old apartment. Now? She's like a different person! Every morning she meets up with new friends for coffee and crosswords, and there's always something going on to keep her mind and body active. The best part is hearing the happiness in her voice when we talk. She's actually excited to tell me about her day and the people she's met. The staff have been amazing, and the other residents have welcomed her with open arms. She's already loving it there, but keeps mentioning how she can't wait for the new kitchen to open! For anyone worried about their parent living alone, The Manor on Bankers Hill has been a game-changer for my mom's social life and my peace of mind. After years of loneliness, she's finally found her community. And being thousands of miles away, that means everything to me. Thank you to everyone at The Manor who's made my mom feel so at home!

I moved into The Manor 5 months ago and couldn’t be happier. The residents are friendly, interesting and welcoming which made it easy to feel at home. The staff are caring, attentive and truly take pride in their work. It’s a supportive and well run community in a great location, and I am very happy I chose to live here.

My husband and I have lived at the Manor for 5 years. The location is ideal with public transporation so accessible, with Balboa Park within a few blocks filled with museums galore, the zoo, and gardens, with numerous restaurants close to us, and with our doctors and hospitals nearby. What makes the Manor stand out is the friendly community, oodles of activities, and excellent staff. We also have an active Residents Council too.

The Manor is such a lively community! It's filled with independent residents who love taking advantage of all the fantastic spots nearby and being so close to Balboa Park is amazing. Great neighborhood with lots of things to do nearby. There’s plenty of activity programs, outings, fun events and other amenities to suit different needs.

I am a brand new resident at The Manor on Bankers Hill, but I am very excited to be moving in. This will be my fourth apartment in a senior, independent living facility since moving to San Diego 8 years ago, and I have to say this is the one that just immediately grabbed me upon seeing it. The features of the building and the apartment are great, and even though I have met only a few of my new neighbors, they are truly welcoming. And although I have only been on the email list for a week or so, I am already much impressed for the communication between the management and the residents.
