Stone Crest Senior Living-Wing A

Please be aware that Stonecrest Assisted Living in Freeland has a bed bug infestation. Families have not been informed, even though this issue has been ongoing since before Christmas. Despite this, they held a party attended by over 100 families. Staff have tried numerous times to express their concerns, but nothing has been done to address the problems. Additionally, they serve old food that is outdated or has been in the fridge for over 7 days. I’m sharing this because I believe families should know about this situation and exercise caution if their loved ones are living there.

I can confidently say that this assisted living community truly feels like home. The atmosphere, enriched by the building's design, the dedicated staff, and the current residents, is exceptional. Every individual within the community strives to create a welcoming environment. The staff treat the seniors with the same care and respect as they would their own family. Additionally, Stone Crest is highly community-oriented, frequently hosting events that are open to the public. From seasonal festivals that bring together families and friends to educational workshops and wellness classes, there's always something happening that fosters connection and engagement. The residents, too, play a vital role in shaping this vibrant community. They bring with them a wealth of experiences, stories, and wisdom that enrich the lives of everyone they encounter. Moreover, the facility offers excellent amenities that cater to the varied interests of the residents. Whether it's enjoying a quiet afternoon in the beautifully landscaped river-view porch, participating in arts and crafts sessions, or joining lively game nights, there's a place for everyone to feel included and valued. This sense of belonging is what makes Stone Crest more than just a place to live; it's a place to thrive. Lastly, Stone Crest is a nonprofit senior living community operated by Baruch Senior Ministries. The mission of Baruch is to provide affordable housing and compassionate care to seniors. Additionally, Baruch offers an impressive lifetime. This promise ensures that residents can continue to live within the community, even if they outlive their financial resources. This commitment provides peace of mind to both residents and their families, knowing that their loved ones will always have a safe and caring environment to call home.

The staff takes great care of their residents. They are personable with them. There is a lot of positivity in their community. Not a “facility” or a building, but a true home.

Stone Crest staff are engaged with their residents in a way that you just don’t see anywhere. They care for them like their own family, and everyone is committed to this day in, day out. From maintenance, kitchen, to floor staff, supervisors and activities, everyone gives their all. They advocate for their residents and families which promotes high standards of quality care from their own staff and community partners. It is a special place!

Very hardworking staff members who deeply care about the residents in the facility. Everyone comes together as a family and works to make sure each resident is acknowledged and well taken care of while also bringing fun activities to the table for each resident to enjoy. This facility makes sure to include as many residents as possible in group activities. The staff go above and beyond while giving them great care. Wonderful place!!!
