I lived there a little over 3 years until I was sent to Stone Creek nursing home. When there was an Ashley as the Administrator, she ruled that place through an iron fist and intimidating residents, threatening 30 days every time you told the truth she didn't want to hear. She would conduct a clean sweep of your room. It would get cleaned alright. Along with a lot of your belongings you know was in there before she started cleaning. She lied to me almost all the time, with unsubstantiated claims, threatening 30 days. I'm not the only resident that had belongings"disappeared". Had a activity director that constantly drove while texting and looking in her lap in incity driving while I was in the back, scared she was going to hit someone. Told Ashley, ABSOLUTELY nothing was done. Not only should've been fired, she should've jailed. Was anything done. Nothing but make my life harder while I was there. I'm still missing everything she took. Bad part is, I can't prove it because I never saw her actually talking the expensive items I had. It was a nightmare living there my last months there

Hillcrest AL proudly accepts Medicaid via the Star Plus waiver. They are 1 of 3 in the state of Texas that accepts Medicaid also! Such a great resource!

My 40 year old brother, who has a TBI, moved here from another assisted living about 6 months ago. This is a much nicer facility. All of the staff are caring & highly qualified. His apartment is so nice and large with a kitchenette and private bathroom! It comes empty, so we had fun furnishing it. Highly recommend! 5 Stars!

Hillcrest has come a long way and things keep getting better by the day! Wonderful management, hardworking and trusting staff, yummy food and so many fun things to do in the activities department. I hope if you have time, you give Hillcrest AL a visit for yourself!

Since I have been visiting and getting to know the inner workings of this place I am very disappointed. There is always something that needs fixing and the facility vehicle is always in the fire lane to where their patrons have to walk or roll to get to their ride. They have refurbished several rooms while some have carpet that looks like it’s been soaked in coffee. And some have been waiting on equipment that was supposed to be there when they moved in for year or so. These folks need love patience’s and care they deserve it. Since my original post things have truly improved. There are no longer vehicles in the fire lane and picking up and dropping off has been made much easier. The lead staffs attitude has also improved.
