SUMMERFIELD OF STOCKTON

Summerfield is a place of family. Caregivers, nurses, med techs, etc all care about their residents. The residents are well taken care of here. Also a very clean facility !!

After several years of care-taking of my wife Ann with young-onset AZD, it came time to find a place for her. I chose Summerfield over all of the other places primarily as it seemed and felt more home-like in design and atmosphere. This, as opposed to a more hospital, hotel or corporate-like setting. Since Ann has been at Summerfield, it has also become obvious to me (and family) that Summerfield can take care of my wife better then I with family and professional in-home care could. This, especially with the activities that she is enjoying and new peer-relationships that Ann has developed there. These would be difficult if not impossible to create at home. There also seems to be a very personal touch for myself and my wife’s needs as compared to when our parents needed elder care in other facilities in the Lodi-Stockton area around 10 years ago. Summerfield staff has been exceptionally accommodating of all of my requests and planning for my wife’s personal and unique needs. In short, with my wife in Summerfields’ hands I sleep better, and am already establishing a new way of relating to Ann and her needs as a spouse. Updated 02.12.2026 Six months ago, I was quite sure I made the right choice in choosing Summerfield for my wife Ann (young-onset AZD). Since, I, family & friends are still quite sure that we could not have our beloved Ann at a better place. As the AZD has progress considerably over the six months, there have been considerable changes in needs of care for her. Summerfield has been flexible, responsive and adaptive to all of her needs. Communication with all of the staff has been excellent. The ability for Summerfield to do this, leaves us with feeling of comfort that we are doing the best for her. I would also like to point out that compared to all the other care-homes I and family have had experience with, Summerfield feels more like a family business with a personal touch. Thus, more like home [than a facility].

I moved my loved one into Summerfield of Stockton in 2023. We fell in love with the staff. They are a family and they truly care for all of the clients. It has been a blessing having my loved one here where she is safe and happy. Theresa Brace

All of the staff at Summerfield of Stockton are outstanding and we felt welcomed from the very first visit. Tiffany and Leslie helped get everything rolling and have been great ‘coaches’ to make the transition smooth. The facility is absolutely immaculate. All of the employees have been super helpful getting our relative situated. The transition was made easier because we did not have to move furniture from home. The room already had a bed and armoire, so we only had to furnish the basics and decorate with pictures. The kindness, compassion and understanding they have shown our family has helped me feel a sense of relief. I completely trust them to take excellent care of our relative and would give Summerfield of Stockton an A+ rating.

Had the most unfortunate experience with my fathers respite care. Had multiple helpful interactions with Leslie getting all the paperwork ready for admission. A date was set to bring dad in and then summerfield changed it. On day we were supposed to bring dad in, things went bad quickly. When mom and I went to drop off dad’s stuff found out neither Leslie or Tiffany were there that day. The front desk sent us off to find his room by our selves. Once we found his room, couldn’t find any staff to help. Mom went to look for someone. I finally found a gentleman who didn’t introduce himself so not sure what his position was. Asked me what I wanted and then disappeared. Saw a roomful of client but no more staff. Not an inviting environment and felt very unwelcome. Definitely did not feel comfortable leaving a loved one. Not what we would expect for the price of care. Way too expensive for the care provided.
