I had toured many memory care facilities in Reno and decided on Mariella. You can see the tangible things, like the facility, the services, the environment, etc., which are great, but it is the intangibles, the things you don't see and experience until your person moves in, that are the real unknown. I can say, without hesitation, Mariella, because its exceptional staff, was the best decision we could make for my mom. They are, without exception, so caring, thoughtful, respectful and uplifting - from Tom, the Director of Sales and everyone at the front desk, to the entire memory care staff - they truly care about the residents. From the day we moved my mother in to Mariella, the memory care staff made her feel welcome and valued. I visit every day, and I see how they interact not only with my mother, but with other residents. The level of genuine caring, patience, support, professionalism, and respect they show to each and every person reassures me that there is no better place for my mother. Knowing she is in such capable and compassionate hands gives me tremendous peace of mind. Thank you Mariella!

If I could put a Zero Stars review I would. This place lacks any empathy for its residents and their families. Most of the staff actually does care. But, management does not. That creates an environment where those who personally care for our loved can't get what's needed to properly help those who most need it. My mother in law was injured while bathing. Only one med-tech was there to bath her, even though the physician's orders state that two are required. Due to the hostile environment created by management, the wounds were not addressed for 6 days. My mother in law's kids were out of the country and I am disabled, so, we did not visit for 6 days. There was blood in the shower. Plus, her toilet was disgusting. The management at Mariella is dangerous to it's residents and staff's careers. Avoid this place.

The staff at Mariella has been great since my father has resided here. Under difficult circumstances, they have been very accommodating to him and the rest of the family. JacE, Angela, Debra, Mo, and Ofelia have been great. Whatever is needed they put my fathers needs at the top of the list. My father absolutely adores all of them. Thank you!

Just want to say how satisfied I am with the caring staff at Mariella also known as Volante. My father currently is in the assisted living part and he has needed some extra care and JacE Perez the Wellness director, Debra and Angela who is part of the Administrative Management, has gone above and beyond for my father. He adores everyone that takes care of him. We as a family could never do enough to thank them for all they have done for my Dad and his unique situation that I am not at liberty to discuss publicly. Thank you everyone involved in my fathers care, from Medical, to housekeeping, administrative, events coordinator, and chefs preparing meals. Its hard to have see a parent aging but knowing when I walk away from him he is truly being cared for.
