The Oaks’ Director, Shirley Robinson, is the most caring, compassionate, dedicated leader of a team of care givers that recuse those same characteristics! My Mom has been living there for over 3 years and absolutely loves it. She loves hanging out with all the other residents in the beautiful lobby and library. Whatever it is my Mom needs, there is always someone there to help her. Thank you to this great community for my Mom!!

After our mother passed away, my brother and I made the difficult decision to move our dad to assisted living at The Oaks. From day 1, the staff and personnel exceeded our expectations. They were compassionate and kind, and they helped my father feel right at home. Not only did they care for dad, but they also checked in on our families to make sure WE were okay. Truly, they went above and beyond and helped us all through the grieving process. They genuinely care for the well-being of all the residents — physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Furthermore, the facility is always so clean, and dad raves about the delicious food! We are so incredibly grateful to The Oaks for guiding us through the process and compassionately caring for dad. We are very appreciative of this special place!

Brooke and Shirley are absolutely spectacular, and have made our mom’s move a total breeze. They are genuine, organized and have loved on our mom each-and-every day. I’ve gotten to know the staff here at The Oaks over the last month and they’ve been phenomenal. Mona, Tammy, Dory, Carlotta, Mona, Lorenzo, Taylor, and EVERY other team member we’ve worked with has exceeded expectations. This is not my first review of this facility, but I needed to provided this additional update to help other families looking for a trusted place for their loved one. ❤️

I would highly recommend the Oaks at Daniel Island. My mom has been there about a month, and the attention and service from the staff is outstanding. She has thoroughly enjoyed the activities and the interaction with fellow residents. The rooms are very spacious, nicely decorated and assistance is only a push of a button away. Vicki and Jeanette are wonderful, helped her transition in, handled the paperwork and are constantly walking around, involved and chatting with the residents. They both together truly make the Oaks feel like home, and that is most important when you have your mom or dad there. Small, quaint and an amazing staff, what else could you ask for ?

Mom has been at The Summit for about 6 weeks and it has been great from the first initial visit. It’s clean and fresh smelling every day I visit. The admin staff and caregivers are amazing and so kind. Longtime employees speaks volumes about This place. Daily Planned Activities and day trips are awesome. We could not have asked for a better place for mom and she feels very much at home. There’s is definitely a lot of DI community involvement which makes it feel even more like home. Thank you all for making the transition so great!
