After researching and visiting several Gastonia assisted living homes, we found that Summit Place at Kings Mountain was THE best choice. The location is perfect as Summit Place sits in the country and is very peaceful. All of the staff were very professional and showed a caring, family type of love for my mom. We feel like our mom is taken care of and it provides comfort knowing she's in good hands.

First, breathe. If you have found yourself here at the reviews, know that other families have been in your shoes. That most difficult place of trying to make the right decision for your family member and wondering if you are doing it correctly. Summit Place is the right decision. Ty will walk you through the process and help you feel at ease. All of the staff takes time with you as a family. After our loved one moved in, I received the sweetest text from Ty to let us know that we are in this together. Our loved one has had smiles and interactions since moving in. We made the right decision and you will as well. Let Summit Place be a part of that decision.

As we age it’s a blessing to wake up each and everyday ready for a new day. For our mom who is 93 these blessing just keep coming. She has been fortunate to live in the house that she and our dad built for the past 53 years. But we worried about her, if she needed something or whether she may lose power in a storm. We wanted her to have independence but loving care at the same time. Summit Place filled that spot in our hearts. Although she has only been a resident for two weeks she has made herself feel like she’s home. The staff have welcomed her with open arms. We couldn’t be happier for our mom. It was a big decision but her optimism about making the most of everyday has impressed us and we hope others notice it too. Thank you Summit Place for giving us peace of mind and making her feel loved and cared for.

My mom was so hesitant to move into assisted living, but my brothers and I knew it was time for her to live in a community instead of alone. Summit Place had a room available and after touring and spending a bit of time here, we convinced her to try it. She just loves it here. The staff is so friendly and caring. Rebekah and Alain were very easy to work with as we prepared for and finally made the move. They continue, weeks later, to provide more than we could have hoped for. The food is good, the activities are plentiful and engaging, the staff is supportive and very caring. My mom is happy and thriving , and we are all so pleased with Summit Place. 10/10
