It is very well managed, with excellently trained, communicative, and caring staff in a small setting. It is everything you want for your loved one - you will have peace of mind that they are receiving the best care and attention around the clock. Doctors and therapists come right to the home. The owners and managers are always quick to respond to your questions or concerns. My sweet aunt was there 3 years, and in the days before she passed, current and past caregivers came by to show her (and me) their love and support. Heart to Home (both sites) provides the best care, best ratio of staff to residents, you could ever find. I just can't thank them enough for the love and excellent care they provided my aunt in her last years.

Heart to Home "H2H" (Sumpter Senior Living) stands out above all other senior living facilities in the Metro Detroit area. This intimate, modern, home environment is owned by two women who each hold Master's degrees in Nursing with nearly 20 years experience in hospital and home healthcare settings. They had a vision to open their own community care facility. Their compassion, empathy and collective experience helped them see this vision to fruition so they could help older adults who are in need live in a more personable home-like environment, delaying or keeping them out of a nursing home environment. My sister is a resident who has dementia. Since she has been at H2H, their team and the physician that comes to the home have better managed her dementia personality changes. She previously lived at another facility for a short time. Heart to Home's owners were confident they could work with my sister and get her on track as they had experience dealing with the elderly and their various physical and mental challenges. H2H has 24/7 caregivers at the home at all times. When I visit, I get to know the caregivers and observe their interaction and hands-on support they provide to the residents. They treat the residents with kindness and respect. Caregiving is not easy. I am grateful for their dedication, patience and peace of mind knowing my sister is in a good place. The Home Manager and other caregivers communicate with me, which is super important to me. H2H makes home cooked meals, the residents clothes and bedding are washed, medications are dispensed, they have a calendar of daily activities in which they try to get the resident's engaged and involved. They decorate the home for holidays making it cheerful and they also celebrate the resident's birthdays. During Christmas, in the past they held a holiday party and Santa made a guest appearance. After having my wife placed at Heart to Home Sumpter the care she has received there is phenomenal. She has been in their care for a little over a year now. The attention to her grooming, physical and mental wellbeing can not be matched. I don’t make these claims lightly by not knowing what other places are like. My wife has been in several facilities thru the years and none can compare with Heart to Home. The housekeeping is spotless. I rest easy knowing my wife is well taken care of at Heart to Home. The nurse owners Andrea and Gina and all the caregivers should be very proud of their work there.

What a wonderful residential assisted living facility for the aged with both owners having masters degrees and also exceptional experience and training for Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care. They have the best trained caregivers that work 12 hour shifts so that they have staff around the clock. I am so impressed by the care, love and attention that they give to their residents and families. Interactions include senior center activities, playing board games, chatting, baking, reading, physical activity, and companionship like no other! We are happy to call them family.
