My family and I feel very blessed to have been a part of The Barns family. My beloved Jack in our “golden” Years always said, “don’t put me in a facility!” The Barns is like a “home away from home”. And the Care is phenomenal! And Jack was treated like family! Grateful for our Many Blessings.

Watching your parents age is never easy. That doesn’t even compare to the day you realize you have to discuss with them leaving their home & going somewhere that can assist them. My sister & I called, researched, and visited many places trying to find somewhere that had the right “feel” for them and their needs. When my sister visited The Barns, right away she could tell it had the “feeling” we wanted. It was decided that The Barns would be their new home. Home is the best word to describe how it feels. The staff constantly shows love towards, not only my parents, but all the residents they work with. The staff develops relationships with those living there and laughter can be heard regularly because of those relationships. The Barns takes out the feeling of being a “facility” and creates a home. Meals around a common table, where everyone who lives there gets to know each other, gives a feeling of family. There is never any smells, the facility is very clean. The food is home cooked, not from a box, and looks delicious. The small size means lots of quick attention when needed and the ability to notice needs not verbalized. I moved my mom to The Barns two months ago. She had been living in a facility in Birmingham where the level of care had declined to the point that I was worried about her. A friend recommended The Barns to me so I decided to check them out. It is a small very homey environment. When you enter the house you can smell the homemade food cooking. All the residents are clean and dressed and they hang out with each other during the day. The caregivers are very attentive and there has been no turnover in staff which is so important. The home is very clean as well. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the care my mom is receiving. I don’t worry about her anymore. I would highly recommend The Barns.

It is always a concern when choosing assisted living for a loved one. That being said, we are extremely pleased and know we made the right decision for our mother! The process from the start has been a wonderful experience. The staff, cleanliness, pricing has exceeded all expectations! The food is delicious! The whole vibe when walking into The Barns is positive and uplifting! My mom is cared for better than we could have ever hoped for! The staff are all caring and fun for all the residents. The facility is perfect for residents of all needs and always clean. We especially love spending time with my mom on the beautiful patio! I recommend Barns to anyone struggling to care for their aging family members!
