SUNNY BOWER

Sunny Bower is such a wonderful facility. I had the pleasure of shadowing the staff to see how they ran things and everyone was so kind and helpful to all of the residents. Seeing how well they treat their staff and their residents made me so happy and relieved to see that good community is out there. I will always recommend Sunny Bower for many reasons, but the respect they show for every human being is so beautiful and so important.

My beloved father first became part of Sunny Bowers through their daytime program, and in time this grew into his becoming a full-time resident. Altogether, our family shared more than five years with Sunny Bowers, and throughout that time the care and support he received were extraordinary. Maria and Chris (Julian) Grumley not only made sure my father was cared for with warmth and dignity, but also provided me with valuable and accessible communication and insight on a regular basis. Their dedication is truly beyond reproach. Sunny Bowers is so much more than a “facility.” It feels like a home—always spotless, welcoming, and beautifully decorated for the seasons and holidays. The level of personalized care and warmth in this intimate home setting simply isn’t found in larger facilities. I will always be grateful to the owners and staff of Sunny Bowers for their attentive and loving care, and for creating an environment that gave me peace of mind through difficult years. Five Star! We took my mom to Sunny Bower and immediately noticed how welcoming the atmosphere was and how calm the residents were enjoying the arts and crafts time. The owners, Maria and Julian were truly delightful and caring people. Many of the staff have been with them a number of years. From the moment we moved my mother in, she was cared for 24 hours a day. The difference from the previous care Facility was major. The fact that this is a smaller, more like a group home setting, allows the staff more time per resident. Even when the owners are not there, they keep to a tight schedule, and continue to check on residents regularly. My mother passed away with dignity. We couldn’t be more grateful . Thank you

Sunny Bower ALF cared for my mother since April until her last breath this week. With her advanced dementia it wasn't easy to find a place that I believed would provide her with the personal attention, dignity and level of care I desired - that is until I found Sunny Bower. This is a small private facility and a family-run business, with experienced care givers, some of whom have been there for over 15 years. She was treated with love, kindness and patience every step of the way. Once hospice started, the engagement between hospice and Sunny Bower was seamless. Sunny Bower gave me peace of mind at a time when my mother's needs exceeded what I was capable of providing at home. I'll be forever grateful to the earth angels of Sunny Bower.

Sunny Bower ALF & Senior Day Services are the BEST. They provided my mom personalized service -- so much more than the previous place my mom lived. The Staff gets to know the Residents and learn their likes and dislikes. My brothers and I wish we had found Sunny Bower FIRST. They provide weekly entertainment and many activities. The living environment lives up to its name -- Sunny. The screened front porch is great and Residents & their visiting family, alike, can enjoy that. The windows & openness provide a light, cheery day. The staff is right-on-it for cleanliness and help with incontinence issues. The main managers Maria & Chris were so helpful! Family did not have to worry about medication management, and Maria did not hesitate to call the Residents' doctor if the Resident was real sick. Chris was great about making any requested minor adjustments to the room. My mom loved the bird feeder and watching the birds outside her window, from her bed, when she was alive. The blessing for family is that your loved one probably will not have to move (a few exceptions) once s/he goes into more of a nursing-need status as s/he get older and weaker. You can't go wrong with Sunny Bower!
