The most beautiful & complete retirement complex I have seen. From brick ranch homes for the completely independent, with restaurants & a world-class fitness center, to memory & dependent care to full-up nursing care. This is THE place to live out your golden years!

The Panill Building ~ The lobby is gorgeous with Chandleiers and has a Really Kind Staff working the front desk 24/7. It's like checking into the Ritz Carlton until you ride up to the 3rd floor. When I stayed there for a broken ankle in April 2025, my insurance would not pay for the stay. They said it was out of network. Only 2 Nurses laughed & told me, "You will be okay". CNA's were kind and worked their tail feathers off taking care of us all. I tried my best to leave them alone, but it was a routine to be checked at 2 am. and at 5 am . The building is old and needs a new AC unit installed. There were too many rules, and I felt I was in prison many times, but They the Nurses failed to realize that We the Patients have rights. Every week, here came another new rule the head nurse said I had broken. If these Rules were so important, then have a sheet written out and hand it to the patient on arrival, don't come in their room, and report each week what Rule was broken. I will say this, the Chefs were amongst the nicest people I had met & went out of their way to help me. The food was really good. Would I ever stay again? NO !! Sunnyside is for The Very Elderly! I did learn a whole lot from George ~ my physical therapist. A very nice gentleman.

Both my grandmothers moved to Sunnyside a couple years back and I cannot recommend it enough! The staff is incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely care. The facilities are beautiful and well kept. I love hearing about all the friends they’ve made and all the activities and classes they are doing. It makes me very happy to know they always have community around them and meaningful things to do. My family often jokes we’re already ready to sign up ourselves.
