SUNRISE ASSISTED LIVING AT WEST ESSEX (NJ30A003)

Beware...If you plan to place your family here in the memory care unit thinking it will be their forever home. This place will run down your loved ones estate and then just as the money is about to run out they will say they need a higher level of Care (even though they were fully mobile and had no medical issues aside from memory loss) and have them transferred to a LTC facility- They are running a con. They do not care about your loved one.

My husband and I toured the facility on behalf of my mother. Everything from the moment we walked in until the moment we left was above anything we expected. The staff was incredibly friendly, the resident seem very happy, it was clean, safe, cozy and warm. The varieties of housing options as well as the daily menu are exceptional. The activities an overall environment meet Mom’s needs. Not to mention the fresh warm, peach pie! What are 5-star experience! Needless to say, we brought Mom back the next day and she loved it!!

Sunrise of West Essex is such a special community. It's so well-established and has tremendous longevity amongst the team. I recently moved a client into the Reminiscence memory support neighborhood and am blown away by the professionalism, empathy, and patience of the team. The transition to senior living is never easy, especially for those living with dementia. I honestly anticipated and prepared my client's family for a very rocky week (& longer!), but I'm already so pleasantly surprised with how it's going. On day TWO, she was out and about participating in activities and enjoying meals in the dining room. It's of course been emotional and there are good days and bad days, but she's already begun to trust and seek comfort in the team. Knowing she is safe and well cared for has been a huge relief for her loved ones. We are looking forward to her continuing to settle in and thrive in such a supportive, loving environment. Thank you to Bernadette (Reminiscence Coordinator) and her incredible team for making this transition smoother than we could've hoped for! Sunrise Remembrance has the most amazing staff of caring and compassionate people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, They treat the residence like family. With their guidance my mom made friends, participated in activities and became the mom again that we thought we had lost. There is no place like it and we are very grateful for all they have done for our mom

Sunrise is a wonderful place managed by true professionals. The amount of carting they provide for their residents is on par with the care given by actual family members. They communicate well and they always put the dignity of the resident first. i am so grateful to have found Sunrise West Essex for my Aunt.
