SUNRISE ASSISTED LIVING OF MORRIS PLAINS (NJ90117)

Placing a loved one in assisted living is a difficult decision at best. After doing extensive research in numerous states and a variety of assisted living communities, I am so grateful the Sunrise of Morris Plains family. My loved one is well cared for in a place that is bright, cheerful, and filled with caring staff that have taken the time to get to know my loved one and develop a relationship with them. I have witnessed “inside jokes” between my loved one and staff, and the excitement on both my loved one’s face and theirs with every interaction is so heart-warming! I am forever grateful for the care and attention at Sunrise of Morris Plains.

Our mom was at Sunrise of Morris Plains Feb 9 – Sept 4, 2025. Starting in April, she was placed on unnecessary “companion care” at $37/hr, 24 hours/day, on top of the monthly fee. She was sent to the ER multiple times for “evaluation,” even when hospital staff said there was no medical reason. Laundry and bedding were neglected, and her clothes were often lost or swapped. Since moving her to a new community, she’s thriving, along with four other residents who also left Sunrise. Families deserve better oversight, communication, and transparency.

Finally a place where someone listened and understood the care I was looking for my husband. The Director of Sales Anna carefully went over everything Sunrise had to offer. Sunrise is definitely a community that is all about the well being and care for the residents. Looking forward to a brighter future for my husband and my entire family.

Sunrise Senior Living at Morris Plains responded immediately to my need to find short-term assisted living and with the level of care we needed. Within 24 hours I was able to tour the facility, receive the information I needed to make an informed decision, reserve a room meeting my requirements, and schedule moving in 72 hours after the first call. They collaborated with me with the logistics involved with moving in, including wheelchair transport. I am satisfied that the staff and amenities Sunrise Senior Living in Morris Plains provide are what we needed!

We took a long time before placing my uncle into Assisted Living. It had to be clean, with a friendly staff, good food, and real choices of things for residents to do. We were helped along the way with our decision-making by Anna. She has been like a sister giving advice whenever we asked for it. And she makes the time to truly “be there.”My Uncle is now getting used to being there. He likes the staff and it seems like they all like him too. I wouldn’t hesitate for one minute in recommending Sunrise of Morris Plains. Thanks to all, especially Anna, for including us into your family. ♥️
