Sunrise of Alexandria

Having recently partnered with Sunrise of Alexandria as a Home Health Physical Therapist, I truly feel like I have found my professional home here! This community is amazing—small enough that I get to know everyone, and the residents are always happy and friendly. The whole place has a wonderful sense of community, with fun and engaging activities for everyone. The entire team, from the Executive Director and Wellness Nurse down to the caregivers, is stellar. They are super welcoming, highly approachable, and take suggestions seriously, responding quickly to ensure the best care. They genuinely care for their residents, and it shows! I love providing care alongside this wonderful, dedicated team, and I would absolutely send one of my own parents here. Highly recommend them!

Sunrise of Alexandria is a bustling and busy place. There are always activities going on and residents in the common area gathering together. Arin Burrell-Duru and her staff are caring, dedicated, and knowledgeable senior advocates and the needs of their residents are truly at the heart of what they do.

The front desk person is very unclear and seems confused and unaware of what’s going on in the facility. They make excuses for each other instead of finding a solution or taking accountability. Zero empathy and respect. Management needs to be switched immediately for any change to occur.

I spent seven months at Sunrise Alexandria after experiencing a horrible accident in which I broke my hip femur shoulder and shin bone . During the first six months of my recovery, I lived in healthcare Hell what I call American Hell Care. When I arrived at Sunrise 🌞 of Alexandria, all that changed, I had access to management right down the hall the nursing staff and the med tech staff were very efficient and I established relationships with the nursing staff, mainly from Africa and Ethiopia people from all over the world . In contrast to where I was before, I was living in a place that expressed empathy and kindness. They were activities. The activities manager was fantastic and food was very good utmost care and classiness was expressed to me throughout my stay. Sunrise 🌞 has a business model for all facilities that reflects in my opinion the best of American healthcare. It is a little bit expensive and I could barely afford it, but I had to stay there. I bow down in gratefulness to Arin and all her staff in a corporate culture that was very comforting and helpful in my recovery from a disastrous injury.

I want to capture a few words of reflection and thanks for the excellent care provided to my sister during her 5-year stay at Sunrise of Alexandria. I am amazed and grateful that my sister is able to call this exceptional place home. The staff is uniformly excellent, from the administrative personnel to the maintenance staff to the care providers who are a tremendous help on an ongoing basis. While encouraging my sister to accept help, the staff also respects her decisions about what to do and what not to do and actively champions her right to make autonomous decisions. My sister is having fun most every day with her many friends and she often tells me she appreciates living at Sunrise of Alexandria. I have spoken highly of Sunrise of Alexandria to many of my friends and acquaintances in the community and will continue to do so.
