My Mom just spent the last year and a half at Sunrise. She went from being so frail to regaining herself back to the thanks of the care givers like Joy who brought more than Joy to my mom's life she brought back her energy and spunk! The kindness she showed was immeasurable. We also want to praise Olivia. Being that we are from another state she constantly took our phone calls with all sorts of questions and always got back to us promptly. We are sad to see our mom leave the Edgewater community but happy that she will still be residing at a Sunrise facility.

Our father moved into Edgewater about a month ago, and my sister and I have been thrilled with how well he is cared for and the amazing communication that the staff provides for us on a regular basis. As we both live on the opposite side of the country, we are so much more at ease knowing he is getting such dedicated attention for his diet and physical health. It feels as though our father is the only tenant in his unit! In particular, the Reminiscence Coordinator, Ben, has gone out of his way to make sure we can speak with our father at a pre-planned time twice a week, and he gives us detailed updates on each call on exactly how our father is continuing to get more comfortable in his new living situation. We also love the Smile App, and have enjoyed getting to see pictures posted and communications on a regular basis. Thank you Edgewater team!

Our friend, entering dementia, needed a safe secure organization to care for him, 24/7. He was accepted into the Memory Care Unit, where all his daily needs were met: Medical, shelter, social and sustenance. He was quite comfortable, up until his eventual passing. Sunrise of Edgewater is a well-furnished and -maintained facility, and to all appearances, provided good food and a clean, attractive and very comfortable and safe environment. I believe that our friend's experience here demonstrated that the elderly residents would be in a good place.

My 95 year old mother resides at Sunrise and I cannot give Lars, Sarah and the staff higher praises. What a beautiful, and clean location! The care is superb 24/7! The chef has the residents eating healthy! There are always activities and the people who work there have answered a true calling. Everyone should be so blessed to rest easy that their loved ones are truly cared for! My advice is to spend the money on your loved ones care! It's priceless!!!!

I wish I could give this place zero stars because; it would be well deserved. My 95 year old mother has been in this assisted-living facility since November 2024. She pays $12,000 per month. 1/ The food there is so bad it is indescribable. I would not feed it to my dog. 2/ Every time I visit her, her room smells like shit. I guess they never clean the toilet? She is 95 years old and she needs help cleaning herself after a bowel movement. That is not being done. Therefore, she has feces on her backside; consistently. 3/ My mother has a bell around her neck for service. She states that when she rings it, it takes them “forever and a day” to show up. 4/ My mother had an incident with a chair in which she hurt her leg. She had a huge black and blue from the back of her knee to her ankle. She was in a lot of pain. I personally had to take her to the emergency room. And I live almost 2 hours away. 5/ They have a nurse working there by the name of “Angela”. Angela gives out personal information on the residents at her own discretion. I reported “Angela” to the director of the facility, Sarah. My report was both over the phone and through email. Two weeks later, Sarah never called me or responded to my email. I called Sarah back and her position was “ We are not going to do anything about it” . Then I called the regional director for that facility Ms. Garrity… I told her that I wanted an apology in writing from the facility regarding the lack of professionalism on the part of nurse Angela. Miss Garrity informed me that they do not “put anything in writing”. Angela is employed as a floater. She needs to be floated straight out the front door…. Do not put your loved ones in this facility.
