Great loving smaller assisted living that made my 98 year old mother feel right at home. She didn't want to go but only took 1 day and she was a convert!

This senior living establishment is amazing! My Uncle moved there reluctantly- but within 24 hours he had made friends and began telling me different times not to visit because he would be too busy with multiple activities! Heather does an exceptional job with planning and executing wonderful themed events for the residents to enjoy and the daily activities are non-stop! I highly recommend Sunrise of Shrewsbury! Special thanks to the staff for all that was done for my Uncle!

I have lived at Sunrise of Shrewsbury for almost three years and am very happy here. The grounds are beautiful as is the facility and both are well-maintained. The professional staff and the care managers are excellent and go out of their way to please each and every resident. The Residential Care Coordinator, Paul Singh, is at the helm of all the needs of the residents and is great at scheduling the individual caregiving tasks of the team of Care Managers, making sure each resident gets the individualized care they need. We have a schedule of activities every day, including weekends, and take excursions outside the facility on a regular basis. Our Activities Director, Heather McLaughlin, is the best at scheduling fun activities and the best holiday parties for the residents and their families. There is a private Dining Room for residents to use with their guests, and the whole building is stocked with reading materials, games, movies, and exercise opportunities. I can't say enough good things about this team. I recently helped a client move in to Sunrise of Shrewsbury and the transition was not an easy one, especially coming from an acute rehab following a fall & shoulder fracture. My client required a LOT of extra TLC and hand holding. Not only did the team pull the move together VERY quickly (thank you Victoria & Nilia!!), but they went above and beyond to ensure she felt welcomed and at home. Heather (Activities & Volunteer Coordinator) has made sure she's stayed engaged and entertained, pairing her up with other residents and helping her to quickly make friends. Melon (Executive Director) has been on top of any and all concerns. The Wellness & PT teams have been excellent (especially occupational therapist Colleen, she adores her!) and on top of everything, addressing medication issues/changes promptly and making my client feel safe. The care team, however, are the true MVPs - in the first few days, as she was settling in and learning a new routine, my client called for assistance constantly. They responded promptly and were always patient, kind, and empathetic. Paul, who oversees the care managers as the Assisted Living Coordinator, has been a godsend. I've reached out to him day and night for frequent updates and he's been not only available, but responsive, proactive, and (like his team) patient. He's addressed concerns IMMEDIATELY, even on his days off. Just a week in, my client has made a complete 180 - a true testament to Sunrise of Shrewsbury and their incredible team. I'm so thankful to partner with such an amazing community!

It's a complex process finding the right place for your loved ones and parents as they age. Do we hire someone to come in to mom's home to care for her or do we select the best place to care for her that is "just like home?" Sunrise of Shrewsbury is that place...."Just Like Home!" Mom is enjoying the daily social interaction and making new friends! Every person we interacted with from medical staff, housekeeping, dining, therapists, and Director of Sales, the process and experience was and continues to be, amazing! Every staff member was kind, empathetic, professional and, above all, they genuinely care. Sunny, Director of Sales, was our first point of contact; her professionalism, kindness, and friendly nature, made this transition less traumatic for our family and for Mom. This decision is one of the most difficult decisions to make in life....the personnel at Sunrise of Shrewsbury helped us realize this was the best place, home, for Mom. We are eternally grateful to everyone at Sunrise of Shrewsbury!
