SUNSET RIDGE JEFFERSON

I moved my Mother out of Sunset Ridge and to another assisted living facility. No one at Sunset Ridge informed me that my Mother was found outside the building during a storm, where a tornado touched down in Jefferson County. No staff member was in the building when my Mother went out the door. In the report by the state, it stated there were 43 shifts where 1 staff member was caring for 20 residents.

My mom has been a resident at Sunset Ridge, Jefferson, WI for 2+ years. I am grateful that we found a place that specifically cares for and knows her. And as far as I can tell, they approach each resident with this level of care. Whenever there has been a medical issue (for example, an adjustment to some medicine) the staff is pro-active in reaching out to us to discuss it and offer ideas about a solution that makes my mom's life better (definitely not about making mom more manageable for the staff). Anna, Ami, Lisa....I could name them all. They are amazing individuals. I love knowing she is safe and having a good time. The owners have several facilities, I met one of the owners (Bob) when we first moved mom in 2 years ago...yet a few weeks ago when I ran into him he remembered me and mom specifically! That amazed me and made me very pleased that we had found a place that truly knew and looked out for its residents. Highly recommended.

Our Mom's final residence was at Sunset Ridge. The Administration and Staff were very accommodating and compassionate. We could sense a personal touch that gave us comfort knowing she was safe and cared for at all times. I am personally thankful to the whole staff for always responding to our requests and Mom's needs. We cant say enough about Sunset Ridge. Our mom, with dementia is treated with such kindness and respect that I am always amazed. The staff know about her personality, likes, dislikes, talents etc and they truly differentiate for each resident. We feel 100% comfortable with her there and know she is in good, loving hands.

Sunset Ridge Jefferson is truly a blessing for our Dad. He was the first Resident to move in and they have always treated him with respect, compassion and kindness. They have him involved in many activities daily, which has really improved his quality of life. We love the feeling of a home when you walk through the doors. We are truly grateful to the staff for taking such great care of our Dad!
