I’m just a visitor. I visit my best friend every week, driving in from 12 Mile and Halstead. We’ e been friends for65 yrs. She seems to be getting good care. I just wish she had PT.

My father was here for approximately 3 weeks. While the food may not be the best and they seem to need more staff--my dad received excellent care when he was there. The nurses and aides were extremely kind and always friendly, giving us updates on how my dad was doing. They actually helped feed my dad and did not just leave the tray at the bedside. I saw skilled nursing residents up in the common areas watching tv. It definitely has room for improvement, but whenever we had a complaint they listened and did their best to fix it. I wish we had sent him to Villa at Willow Place earlier. It is not perfect and does not look like a "luxury" place, but the care staff there work very hard and put the family and patient at ease.

The old urine smell tells me that the staff does not care at all!. It smelled like dirty diapers that had been left for days. I didn’t even last an hour and the smell was sickening. When I was asked why I was leaving so quickly I told the person in the hallway to smell what was in the hallway (and the room) and she just dropped her head and I said yes that’s why I’m leaving!. As a chef I can only say that if you smell it in the air, IT WILL CROSS CONTAMINATE YOUR FOOD!. I would not trust them to make a pop-tart at this facility or take care of anyone, EVER!.

This place is the most horrible place to send a family member. My mom was only here for 3 days and they were not rotating her not helping her eat. And it's closed up like a jail. There was a man that kept trying to come into .y moms room and no one seemed concerned. The staff here does not care about patients. It's truly sick. Should be closed

This post has taken me a minute to write after losing our mom in March. She was in Mission Point Superior Twp for 10 months and to be honest we could not have asked for a better experience. Mom required a lot of care, yet never did we experience a bad situation that was not resolved quickly. The staff was kind and always open to our visits and giving us updates on mom. Alison and her staff were beyond helpful in getting mom situated. Tammy B always had time to answer any questions we had and support us during this difficult time. Bryan always had a smile and a kind word to say. He made sure mom’s nails were painted on manicure day, and mom was so proud to show them off. He even got her to throw a bowling ball. The residents are lucky to have such a positive person to run the activities. The Therapists, housekeeping, laundry, food service all greeted us when we visited and made us feel welcome. Mom was the glue to our family and we were pretty particular, yet understanding about her care. We never worried about her after our visits. Our family still talks about mom’s time at Mission Point. And not to forget Kelly in the Beauty Shop, she is definitely a gem filled with patience. Kelly always made mom’s Thursday better. After all this, we really have to give extra kudos to some staff that were with mom more each day. Mom really couldn’t do anything for herself, and these ladies made sure that she had what she needed- Lisa, Keykey, Charita, Felicia, Renee and Olivia were just some of the people who spent quite a bit of time with mom (or grandma as they liked to call her). Mom even with her mind in a different place would tell them how to cook or give them lucky lottery numbers. But when mom’s time came to leave us, we never could have imagined the support we received from so many. Olivia held us together even when she was struggling herself with mom’s death. Our family will always be indebted to Olivia and anyone else that was with us at the end. Mission Point has many good people that work for them and we could see the smiles they brought to the residents. Dad was so protective of mom, but yet he always left his visits knowing mom was well taken care of and he could rest knowing that. We appreciate everything your facility did for mom and us, and a special thank you to Olivia who made our worst day a little better. Her compassion for her patients is incredible. In this tough hiring market, you are very lucky to have Olivia as the last person to have an interaction with a dying patient. We know mom left being loved. I know this is a long post, but in this world of uncertainty and negativity, your facility is blessed to have some of the best. With sincere thanks and hugs, The Entire Family of Barbara Withrow (Grandma)
