We are pleased with Talamore after the first 2 weeks. I like having charges for the apartment separate from the service charges. The service charges change based on the services provided to each occupants. You don’t pay for services you don’t need. It is expensive to stay in assisted living at Talamore, but you get what you pay for.

Talamore had administrative changes in early 2025, with much staff leaving including the experienced whole-facility nurse. They also deleted the memory care nurse position. My spouse with Alzheimers had felt at home living in Talamore’s memory care for almost two years, but after management changes he went from happy to in pain, since by the last week or two of living there he was found almost daily when I visited sitting in wet disposables sometimes also filled with poop. Staff had to actually cut his pubic hair once to clean him since he had sat in it so long it dried on. He ended up in the hospital with a urinary tract infection that caused hyper delirium, a serious medical condition for Alzheimer’s. Afterwards Talamore told me he had been increasingly agitated so care staff hadn’t been able to do incontinence care (that his care level paid for). 1) I had never been informed of episodes of agitation and 2) I would think a geriatric nurse should know increased incontinence plus increased agitation are signs of a UTI. With A Place for Mom’s help I found facilities in our area with management knowledgeable about Alzheimer’s care. My loved one moved into a good place. The good care and one-on-one attention that he gets in the new place, in a happy more homelike environment, was a night and day difference from before. Several other things I feel that Talamore did poorly for memory care: - insecurely hung wall art such as glass front shadow boxes - keys sticking out of HVAC panels in MC rooms that opened to moving parts; - full size fridges in all MC rooms, but no one seemed to monitor their use and temperature - locking residents out of their rooms to keep them easier to watch (can confuse on finding a bathroom, contributing to UTI.) The one star is for the care staff...the hard working and loving attendants and activity staff at Talamore, weren't at fault.

My parents were at Talamore since May, 2021. All in all the staff was great. They had their favorite caregivers. Shout out to Alexis and Cathy on 2nd floor. They interacted very well with my parents and always went over and above what was needed. Also, Bonnie at the front desk, is an absolute gem. She is always willing to answer any questions and always finds the time to make you feel seen and heard. Thank you to all the staff. I would highly recommend this facility.

My mother has been a resident at Talamore Senior Living in Sun Prairie for the past two years, and I can't say enough about the exceptional care she's received. The staff is incredibly friendly, compassionate, and attentive to my mother's needs. They go the extra mile to make her feel comfortable and respected. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and has a warm and inviting atmosphere. There's a wide variety of activities offered daily, which helps keep my mother engaged and social. Overall, I'm very pleased with our experience at Talamore. They provide excellent care in a comfortable and enriching environment. I highly recommend this nursing home to anyone looking for quality care for their loved one.
