TANGLEWOOD VILLAGE

We’ve been living at Tanglewood Apartments and unfortunately, the experience has been far from pleasant. When we first moved in, I told the manager that the basin knobs were so dirty, I didn’t even want to touch them. The response? “We don’t change anything unless it’s dead.” We ended up replacing them ourselves...out of pocket. But the worst ongoing problem has been the toilet. It has clogged 7–8 times in a year. Whenever it happened, we tried fixing it ourselves.Sometimes we managed, other times we had to submit a work order. The management claims we shouldn’t use tissue paper or even flushable wipes,basically telling us not to use a modern bathroom as it’s meant to be used. Despite stop using all wipes and using minimal tissue, the toilet continued to clog. The plumber does show up immediately, which is a good thing.but after plumbing it becomes so dirty that you would never want to see that again. It’s beyond disgusting,truly a nightmare to deal with. It’s not just an inconvenience,it affects your daily quality of life and peace of mind. Moving isn’t easy with all the furnitures.So this is a word of caution: choose your apartment wisely. What seems minor at first can turn into a daily struggle.

Courtney is a very attentive property manager that listens to the tenants and is prompt about addressing any issues that they may have. She follows policy and also works to give us all a sense of community. Patrick is knowledgeable and prompt with issues and work orders and performs his duties with politeness and respect. His work is very professional, quick and clean. He also works tirelessly at keeping the property groomed and free of debris.

We moved into a three bedroom in November of 2024. Anytime we have a maintenance issue Patrick gets it done. Cortney is a great manager, she has done an amazing job and any questions you have she is very helpful.

i’ve been a resident at Tanglewood for a total of 4 years. i started by myself in a 1BR, moved out, then moved back a year later into a 2BR when i got married. we’re now in a 3BR. Prior to Cortney taking over as management- The pool was never open and always needed cleaning, the laundromat would be Out of order for months at a time, residential work orders Took forever to be completed, and Management never seemed to be up to date with what was going on as there seemed to be a new manager every few months. This past summer the pool was cleaned often and open for 2months, we haven’t had an issues w the laundry room. There’s a maintenance man who lives onsite now. soon as a work order goes out he’s on top of it. if there’s ever a delay for any reason he makes sure to tell us. i’ve also noticed when i run into Cortney later, she reiterates the delay and reason for it as well, so there doesn’t seem to be a lack of communication anymore either. The Community is very diverse and friendly. the complex is pet friendly, but even so they still keep the surrounding environment outside clean from animal droppings so the children can (and like to) play outside often.

For the first time in a long time I have a very positive feeling about living here. Today I witnessed the new property manager out on the property and cleaning up by herself. That has never happened in all the years I’ve lived here. It was so nice to see someone actively take an interest in the property & the upkeep. I am hopeful we have an amazing summer this year! Thank you for being the change we need, Cortney! You are refreshing breath of air in this place.
