TERRACE PLACE

My mom was there for two years. It was a good fit for her. It was very affordable and spacious with a full kitchen, laundry etc. The nursing staff was wonderful and worked in conjunction with hospice when that time came. When I received “the call”, it was from the Lakehouse nursing staff and Aurora hospice together. She did not like the food nor the dining room, especially as time moved on. So, she had food brought to her and since she had a kitchen, cooked when she wanted. I could talk with admin and nursing staff who would give me their undivided attention. I’m glad I chose the Lakehouse and would do it again.

A beautiful community where the residents can participate in many activities to stay connected and socialize as well as staying active in their physical health. Surrounded by the hardworking and caring staff to assist them with daily cares/tasks to help improve their quality of life.

From the moment you walk in, there is a sense of peace, love, and family. The staff serve with compassion and dignity, and I truly feel God’s presence here. My father has been living at Lakehouse Sheboygan for 1.5 years. There is much to praise about this facility: the building and rooms are beautiful and spacious, and the staff is very friendly and caring. The nurses are responsive to the needs of the residents. However, there are areas in great need of improvement for the well-being of the residents, which I and my family have become aware of when regularly staying with my dad in his second bedroom: the food is ultra-processed with little to no nutrition and nothing fresh; for me and my siblings and mother, it is inedible. My dad eats very little of it. Our elders deserve fresher, more nutritious food. Also, the housekeeping is very inconsistent - dad's apartment when we visit is often unclean, and I spend the first day cleaning the kitchen and bathroom. I think Lakehouse can do better. I hope this review brings positive changes.

I absolutely love the ambiance of this facility. These are actual apartments that are extremely generous in size most with full kitchens and an in unit washer and dryer. Not to mention that the activities team is out of this world! The sales and administration staff is always going above and beyond.
