THE AVENUES OF FORT BEND ASSISTED LIVING AND MEMORY CARE

I am actually only leaving a review because I have not had follow through from management and maybe this will help me get some follow up. I have been trying to work with the manager of The Avenues of Fort Bend in regards to my uncles account which was billed after his death, erroneously per management, but I have not had calls back or received the money that I was told would be sent back. It’s been ongoing for over 6 weeks now. There is also a previous bill, prior to his death that should be refunded and they have been “looking into that”. There is no way to contact anyone and talk or leave a message and get a call back (mailboxes are always “full”). The front give you a number for billing or anyone higher up to bring this to. I think they want to just wait it out and see if we give up. I feel bad for the front desk staff who take the brunt of my frustration over and over since management doesn’t follow through.

My loved one has been in the center for two months and really enjoys it! On behalf of our entire family we greatly appreciate the Care Team and all of the wonderful activities that he participates in and the nice people he has met . So far, no complaints from him and it gives us peace of mind knowing that he is safe, well cared for and thriving!

My brother has resided at The Avenues since May of 2025. The facility is lovely and the majority of the staff are wonderful. As with most healthcare facilities staffing is a little sparse. The food service is not dietician lead. So it is often tasteless and/or inapposite for the residents. My major concern is with billing. It seems that frequently we have had discounts delayed, been over billed and have received limited response from management. Regardless of phone calls , written compliant, they even refused certified mail. Communication is important when a loved one is separated from family. So I am disappointed at this time.

I cannot recommend the Avenues of Fort Bend highly enough! Ever since my mom became a resident there, her care was first rate. To me, staff are the biggest asset at the Avenues. My mom was treated with respect and caring and she truly felt loved and connected to those who cared for her. I truly admire all of the staff that helped us, and the names are indeed too many to list them all but Shameika, Cristopher, Rugiatu, Gena, William in maintenance and Blake with the rehab department all went above and beyond to take care of my mom and help her be at her best. Mom truly felt loved by the staff and in my experience, that is a rare thing in elderly care. I highly recommend the Avenues of Fort Bend to anyone who might be of need of their services. We have been very happy with The Avenues. My Mom has made new friends and feels like the entire staff truly loves her. Her health has improved while staying here. The PT Department is fabulous! Christopher, the Activities Director does an amazing job keeping them busy. He plans events, family dinners, activities and outings for the residents, and they all love him! Sending a huge THANK YOU!
