The Bluefields

Terrible decision to leave a live one here. Poorly managed and low quality of care provided.

My mother was a resident of Bluefields for approximately 15 months, until her life was cut short by another resident who aggressively pushed her down. Subsequently, she broke her hip and passed away 2 1/2 days later. All the residents are together, regardless of their aggressive behavior or required level of care. There was a large turnover of staff during my mother's stay. Do your research, make an unannounced visit on the weekend and see where the staff are congregating and if they are available to care for your loved one.

The staff at Bluefields is exceptional!! They provided my wife with professional care and dignity for the past year. Losing your life partner is very hard - they made it less stressful. Their genuine care and support is much appreciated.

My wife has been there a little over a year. They always have a very caring staff. They also have really good chefs. The meals are very healthy & very good. Lori runs a tight ship so everything runs very smoothly. Christine in the office is a great help for anything you may need or any questions you may have. I highly recommend The Bluefields!

I am incredibly grateful for the wonderful care my father received at The Bluefields during his time there. The staff treated him like family, showing compassion, patience, and respect every single day. From the very first day, we felt confident that my father was in good hands. The personalized care plan tailored to his needs helped him feel comfortable and at ease. The entire staff was always attentive and took the time to engage with him, which meant the world to our family. The Bluefields facility itself is bright, clean, and welcoming, which made all the difference in creating a positive atmosphere for my dad. The activities were diverse and stimulating, and the team did a great job ensuring he stayed engaged, which was so important. Not only did the staff care for my dad’s physical well-being, but they also showed incredible emotional support. They were genuinely compassionate, offering comfort to him and our family, making a very difficult time a little bit easier. Many times staff members took the time to sit with my dad and listen to his stories, even when he was no longer as verbal. It was those small moments that really touched our hearts and showed us just how deeply the staff cares. Thank you to everyone at The Bluefields for making my dad’s entire stay and final months more comfortable and peaceful. We will forever be grateful for the love and care he received. I highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking compassionate, professional care for their loved ones.
